Drop calls every time I cross the bridge, both driving into and leaving Oak Ridge. I checked signal strength. Full bars on each side of bridge but drops to zero signal on bridge with my Motorola X.

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | East Beaver Creek | Dry Gap, Knoxville, TN 37918 |

Usually travel from Alcoa and West Knoxville maybe a dropped call every once in a while. Service is great around the east beaver creek area. Customer service is excellent bill usually runs 197 with two phones and discounts really the only complaint about Verizon is high bill.

Verizon

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Nature Trails Blvd. Near Joe Hinton Dr., Knoxville, TN 37931 |

Data connections are constantly dropped, >70%. Data connections vary between 3G being the minority to 1X being the norm. Verizon "tech support" is either incompetent or merely mouths platitudes of "attempting" to resolve service issues since Dec. 2012 to date, June 2013. Telephone feature of service was improperly programed, resulting in phone locking and screen going dark during calls, i.e. phone unusable during call.

AT&T

5 Out of 5 (5 stars) | All of Knoxville | Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37918 |

AT&T is the best cell service I have ever had. I have had every cell carrier (Verizon, boost, cricket, tmobile, us cell,... ) and I have not had any drop calls in the year I have had service. The LTE is amazing. I would never switch to another company. I am extremely happy. Also, up in sharps chapel I canNOT find a dead spot. So yah I'm very happy with ATT

I was hoping to use my phone to tether at home. But the 4g I get in my home is spotty. Its great downtown but also not good where work off Sutherland and N. Concord.

**POOR TO NO RECEPTION INSIDE MY HOUSE ONLY!** As soon as I back out of my driveway and get on the road, I have 3-4 bars in the area. FML this is my home phone as well, and I can't use it in my phone. I started out with Samsung Galaxy S III and its signal strength was absolutely atrocious! Lost all signal numerous times. I'm sending it back. Got home with Apple iPhone 4S that was newly purchased from Cricket store and it seems to pick up some of the Samsung's slack, but the signal is still very weak and I drop calls, but at least I can send / receive texts, which is something I often could not do with the S III.

With all the towers around I'm shocked with no service in the house. If you go toward Washington Pike or Millertown Pike, you will get perfect reception.

Singal strength barely registers on phone "bar" graph. Calls frequently drop. Sometimes when the phone is on, a 911 calls only message appears. This is a significant change from previous signal strengths, even with the SAME phone, just a few months ago.

Sprint

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Orchard Creek, Knoxville, TN 37918 |

We switched from Verizon to Sprint to cut our bill while still getting all the things we had before. Sprint came highly recommended by several of our friends so we made the switch. Big mistake. The reception at our house is aweful. With Verizon it was perfect, so I never imagined I would have aweful service with Sprint. When I am out and about, the service is usually fine. But I would like to be able to use my own phone in my own house! And I cant without the call being dropped several times. We can't wait for the contract to be up in 2 years so we can switch back to Verizon. I will gladly pay the higher bill for Verizon to get reliable cell service. We really wish we hadn't switched.

no AT&T service while camping or anywhere close by. AT&T service in Knoxville has been very bad for the last 6 months for everyone that I know with this carrier. Will be changing at the end of my contract next month!

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | S. Northshore | Morell, Knoxville, TN 37922 |

The whole area from Morell Rd.to Pelissippi Pkwy. is horrible. The phone constantly changes from Edge to 3G and each time it changes, it's "searching" for a while. It's not seamless at all. Every single call... ..EVERY ONE drops in my house. Blech... .I work for ATT and I'm thinking about switching to VZN.
