For at least a two to three mile radius from the dam on the lake, on the road, in the woods, I consistently have four or five bars. Love Verizon. It's rare that I don't have reception unless I'm way out in the boonies.

my mother has had Cingular 4 years now... and for the last year she can't get any service at her home... she has been told lines of bull one after another..they pretty much tell her it isnt their probl she has not signal they don't guarantee service..just makes no sense that it worked fine up until a year ago... looks like here we come verizon!

I live just minutes from Norris Dam in northern Anderson County and I always have 4 bars inside my house and around the Dam. The only times that reception goes down is when you get right up next to some of the hills around the area, and even then you never go below 1 or 2 bars. I've had Cingular and Tracfone and both pale in comparison to Verizon. My 1 year contract ran out in November 2004 and I renewed it to a two year to get a nice new camera phone and the decision wasn't hard at all because I have had absolutely no trouble with Verizon. Best customer care I have come across in any field, they're always there to help!
