Poor reception everywhere. Cannot place or receive a call without losing it. Not just on Everett Hill, but Knoxville as well. It also takes at least two tries to place and complete a call.

My wife and I use to be an ATT customers. Driving down Alcoa Hwy. from Knoxville to Maryville, we knew where the dead spots were. Now that I'm a Cingular customer and using the C1300 phone, it appears there are a lot more dead spots! At first, I thought it was my phone. However, my wife uses a Nokia phone, exactly like the one I had. Like I said, the coverage appeared to be much better. Once I switched her plan over to Cingular, she now has the same problems I have with spotty coverage. Hopefully, they'll get it fixed soon.

I travel throughout East Tennessee and the surrounding region. The reception is much improved after the ATT merger ATT with Cingular. My phone often works when my wife's Verizon does not get a signal. As a plus Cigular works in Kentucky whereas Verizon does not. I think people ought to realize with our mountains there are going to be dead spots with any system and should try out a carrier at their primary and major work locations before committing.

US Cellular and Nokia is the combination to get good service here in East Tennessee. Those with this combination seldom complain, but those with other phones and carriers are always complaining about loosing calls and no reception. I don't think I have ever had a call dropped, however in some locations I do go down to about 2 or 3 bars. Overall, I'm tickled pink with Nokia and US Cellular.

I get one bar inside the house on my Env2, 2 bars if I go outside. By comparison my girl friend gets no service at all on her AT&T iPhone inside or outside. She does not pick up service until she is almost to Montvale Station Road.
