Nextel
Signal is average standing in a field, but in a building or moving through the area it comes and goes.

Never lost a call from my end- worked in West Memphis and all the way down to Coldwater / Independence area of Mississippi. Excellent service, all of the time.

Reception goes in and out inside city, won't even work in the Bartlett area half of the time, calls are lost inside of my house, and forget about going further out of city limits, reception drops off past bridge or outside of Olive Branch.

Solid Reception city-wide. I rarely if ever drop a call. Even in surrounding rural areas I get a solid signal (almost complete coverage all the way north to KY, South to MS, and west to ARK

We just were switched from TDMA to GMS and wish I had all the bells and whistles of GMS with TDMA signal quality

I just moved and I have no reception in my new house. I have to go outside to make or receive calls. :-( Otherwise reception is good in Memphis and all around the Southeast US.

Reception is normally fine, but will go from 60 to 0 in half a second. Example: while parked at Wolfchase Mall, I had five drop-offs within 30 minutes. When not dropping off, the phone showed that the signal was at full strength. At my office, which is near Raines and Mendenhall, I have no reception problems at all.

T-Mobile service is unusually poor. I cannot get good reception in my home. Calls are dropped while driving around town.

Verizon is by far the best service in the Memphis area and in the surrounding county area. Downtown even with the high rise buildings I still don't have to extend my antenna on my phone.

Cingular service is decent in Memphis. Some problems, but mostly ok.
