I got horrible reception on Mus Island. So much so that I paid the $10 extra a month for roaming and set my phone on automatic roaming. 9 times out of 10 I was using other carrier's towers. In the end, Sprint ended up having to pay these companies so often that they asked us (I was on a family plan with people in Ohio) to switch carriers before the end of our 2 yr contract.
T-Mobile service is great in the middle of the island. However, on the north end, it is quite poor. I owned a house on the central section and had great coverage (5), but recently moved to apartments on the north end and have very poor coverage (1 or 2) with two different phones.
I've never had problems with Tmobile. The only time I ever experience dropped calls is when I'm driving from Memphis to Knoxville, and somewhere just beyond Bucksnort my calls get dropped for a couple of minutes. When I drive around town I don't have any issues.
dead zone at the yellow building. very odd... plus: all cell phones are cheap and crummy nowadays, like the service you get at any orange mound or frayser fast food place, bunch of savages in this town...
Customer service with T-Mobile is the worst I have every encountered. Updating to a new handset but keeping the same telephone number proved impossible... four months later still being billed for service NEVER ACTIVATED. Dropped number has cost $1000s in lost business in the meantime.
AT&T service terrible. Business contract; called them. They told us they did not have enough subscribers in the area to upgrade their (poor) service. Not willing to consider that an area with 3 hospitals, 2 nursing schools, optics school, medical school, high school, and about 6 medical office buildings (average 6 stories per) wouldn't have many residents, but lots of transient subscribers. Had to switch to Sprint, which works reasonably, or Verizon (works well).
I have bad reception all the time in this area. My house,The Blue Monkey,Paullet's, Molly's. Have talked with T-Mobile 8 times and still have not gotten problem fixed.I have dropped calls and cannot make or receive calls easily. Would not recommend.
