I have always got wonderful reception in Nashville. I do get only a couple bars near Woodlawn and Sharondale. Great coverage in Hillsboro village although most of my friends with Verizon and Sprint get poor reception. I am more concerned with my data speeds which require a great signal and I always have 4 to five bars in Bellevue and Maryland Farms and everywhere in between. Otter Creek Rd in Green Hills there only seems to be a 1900mhz signal although many carriers do not work at all here because the tower is at the top of the hill and the RD run directly below it.
i have been using Sprint PCS for years now. but here and there I have tried using other carriers during their 15 day trial, but always end up back with Sprint. their service is the best I have used. at my job in the warehouse my service is strong. even Verizon fails there but not sprint! with wireless you have to find what works best for you, but if you use Sprint in the nashville area you should be happy!
1 Bar outside, 0 bars inside. Definite inability to hold a call. Sprint has checked and agreed there is no signal there, even though I am only a mile from downtown.
I live in Nashville,TN and I have excellent reception out of cingular.I have only had 2 dropped calls so far and it was because I was under a bridge.Cingulars reception has been very good for me.I also have multiple friends that has not had any problems with the reception out of Cingular.I used to have Cricket but I couldnt ever go outside of nashville with it and I have lots of family that lives in Antioch,Eagleville,Kentucky,Illinois, etc. But with Cingular it works there fine.Maybe its the location that you are in.I love Cingulars service. If you break your contract here you only pay $175.I guess that is only here though.
When picking up my daughter from Pioneer School, I might as well turn my phone off. Cannot call out / recive calls from this area. My boss has Verizon, and gets calls INSIDE our work place in Goodlettsville while, if my cell rings i have to go outside to make or receive a call. Contract likes 2 weeks from being up, gonna drop Cingular like a bad habit and switch to Verizon! Phones and Customer service sucks ! Promise you the moon but all you end up with is craters!
In my home the signal fluctuates between zero bars and two bars. Very rarely goes above two bars but may briefly hit 3 bars sometimes. Drops cal at zero.
I posted the "no service" for Nokia 6230. It was a T-Mobile branded phone, and apparently that was the problem. I am using a Cingular branded phone (V3), and have great reception in all the areas I did not before.
