WE are in the Devil's Triangle of cell phone usage. Living in the Paint Rock Community we must travel approx.13-15 miles or more to make a call. The Mushroom Plant on 72. Golf Course in Kingston and the Interstate 62. An Emergency? FORGETTABOUTIT! Somethings gotta give. Does anyone know which company owns which towers and their locations in Roane County? Who to contact if you would lease land to cell company>

No service usually, only if you stand in one spot with your phone held out from your body with the speaker phone on, and then only sometimes. Most of the time you will hear a beep and it will be a voicemail you recieved but can't listen to. I have part of Paint Rock Ridge on my property and would love to get Verizon to put a cell tower on it so we could get rid of the terrible bellsouth phone connection we have too. Don't come to the Paint Rock area if your thinking about making a call.

Cingular's service here on Gage Rd and North is O.K. The problem is when you South of Hwy. 72 a few miles on Hwy. 58 and other area roadways the signal does not exist. People are nice down here and will let you use their land line if you have an emergency.
