Branchside ZCourt / Augustine Trail and Buckner Lane, Thompsons Station, TN 37179 |

We live on Branchside Court in the Newport Crossing Subdivision and no one on our cul de sac receives decent cell service... Simply put, a major dead zone. ATT and Cricket do not work on our street. I now have Verizon service which works pretty good. With our ATT and Cricket service, rarely, if ever, did voice work, only texting. We have tried multiple phones, services as have our neighbors. It stinks. Don't move near Augustine Trail and Buckner Rd / Branchside Court if you use a cell phone!

While I am driving I840 between franklin and murfreesboro, my calls get dropped every single time. I have had Sprint and had not had much problem in Ohio (with the same phone). I am looking into to switching the carrier. Maybe Verizon?

31-W / Goose Creek Bypass, Thompsons Station, TN 37179 |

Switched from Verizon to Cingular 18 months ago and experienced my first dropped call on the way home from the store. There's a huge dead spot between 431 and Hwy. 31 on Goose Creek Bypass. If you live in Spring Hill and work in Franklin / Cool Springs / Brentwood beware the coverage gets spotty south of Franklin. I was a Sprint customer for 3 years, started having problems constantly during their 2.5G network upgrade, before switching to Verizon. A Verizon customer for 3 years until I got fed up with no bluetooth phones, poor battery life, ever increasing overage charges, and unfriendly "customer service." Coverage was GREAT. After 3 years with Verizon hearing all the GSM talk, great phones, great plans, and "rollover" minutes I was curious, so I made the switch to Cingular. WOW, what an immediate difference I noticed in reception compared to Verizon. I decided to stick it out because I believed Cingular was "raising the bar," just not anywhere I need service it seems. As one other Cingular customer noted, I can go from good sound quality to hearing every third word without moving an inch, all while having "full bars," and this is standing on a balcony overlooking Brentwood in Overlook business park. Besides not being able to use my cell phone for phone calls ( a minor detail to Cingular it would seem ), the EDGE data service is S-L-O-W. The RAZR is fragile and call quality plays a back seat to the cool factor. I get electronic interference around all sorts of other devices with it. Love the plans, plan features, phones, and the concept of a world phone and SIM chip. Now if I could just stay connected...
