Signal is poor or does not exist 1 / 2 mile in each direction. None of the cell carriers acknowledge this.

Barely one bar outside and no 3G. Inside building is no reception at all. I have a network extender inside my house.

I am confused, reading reviews about AT&T problems. My old AT&T "stupid" phone always has great reception everywhere I go in DFW. I also lived in northern California and Hawaii and always had good reception. I'm thinking of upgrading to a "smart" phone. Is the reception worse with a "smart" phone? Or why do I always have full bars and a lot of reviewers say it's terrible?

I have had AT&T for years now and I rarely have problems (exception: during hurricanes). I frequently notice I have bars when my peers and coworkers do not (they have mostly Sprint and some T-mobile). I'd suggest AT&T, highly recommended. *Note: they also have great family plans, but the individual plans tend to be a bit more expensive.

There often is NO reception and then only if you talk outside.

I've been with Sprint for 10 years with no problems, but in the past 90 days I get no reception in my home, and barely a bar outside. They want to send me an "Air Rave" but I don't need more devises to tend. I'm going to break the contract and look at AT&T.

I have had absolutely no problems with Sprint. I use to have T-Mobile and had a few network errors. My husband has AT&T and he gets pretty good reception but a few dropped calls.

If I'm *lucky* I get 1 bar of Edge signal. Thought it was because I was in a 1st floor apartment, but even if I go outside the phone only rings about half the time, and constantly drops calls. Even driving around I get no signal until I'm 2 miles away from River Legacy Park in any direction. AT&T badly needs some towers in North Arlington.

Inside my home I get 5 bars coverage. Four years ago (2004), I changed from AT&T to T-Mobile. AT&T at this same location was 1 bar to non-existent. Maybe it's improved by now in 2009. My friends iPhone only gets 3 bars in my home while I get 5 on T-Mobile.

Either the buildings are made out of lead, or the coverage sucks. the instant you walk into a building your bars drop down to zero...

We've never gotten good reception at our home, but it's gotten worse. Now when the phone rings (if we're able to receive incoming calls, which is not consistent) we have to run outside to answer. Consistently drop calls in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.

Calls drop a lot and cell signal quality is based purely on how you hold the phone and if you are inside or out. Overall, I have not been satisfied with T-Mobile signal quailty about 75% of the time

The reception is barely there and voice is breakign up and dropping... ..One has to come outside the apartment to talk properly...

Debbie east of SH-360 is all new houses built within the last 2 years. The Sprint service is really bad. My blackberry battery goes down so fast because the phone is getting erratic signals jumping from 5 bars to 2 to 0 just sitting in one spot or moving the phone slightly. The phone is all over the place jumping between 1xRTT, EVDO and No Service. Any time I take a call, I have to go outside the house or the call will drop or display "Unknown Caller". I have an pre-paid T-Mobile phone that consistently gets 2 bars and the calls are pretty much solid. The same with a Cingular phone I sometimes carry for work. I've had other people try Sprint phones here with the same issues. A Samsung A-900m (sprint) and a UTStarcomm (aka Audiovox) flip camera phone (Virgin which is also Sprint)

from gallup, nm to carlsbad cavern, nm, on march 16, 2007, absolutely no cover across the state. passed several cell phone towers and other motorists on their phones.

I spend a great deal of my time, and get absolutely no coverage here. I have to go outside and walk around holding up my phone to get coverage. Cingular, spring, and T-Mobile all receive coveage

Horrible reception! Have to be outside to even get a signal. Everyone who comes to my apartment has the same problem, so it's not just Verizon.

you get no reception in any of the school buildings whatsoever. You either have to go outside or buy a stupid phone card if you are staying in a dorm.
