Never had any problems with AT&T TDMA - sounded great. Switched to AT&T GSM and it sucks! Noticeable static on all the calls. Phone says full signal strength but sounds terrible! Switching back to TDMA.

Reception in Travis Heights is awful. In my house, I teeter between 2 bars (rare) and No Service (more frequent). I have walked all over the neighborhood with my phone (from near Riverside all the way down to Oltorf) and I peaked briefly at 3 bars, but quickly went back down to 2 and often 1. GSM reception is horrendous. The last two times I have tried to receive a call outside my home (once in Tarrytown and once just west of Braker-I35), the signal was breaking up and eventually dropped.

I moved to Austin from NJ about a month ago & to T-mobile from AT&T digital & I'm really happy with the reception I've got till now. The signal is usually very good while driving in RoundRock, downtown & North Austin. I have had some trouble with signal inside buildings, but a very rare occurence. Way to go T-Mobile!

I would luv it if this worked from my home. Good coverage is spotty. I have found that T-Mobile works better in this area than AT&T. For this reason I have my business phones with AT&T and personal phones (4) with T-Mobile.

The Sony Eri. T610 with T-Mobile sucks in my area, at home I get very weak reception and the voice keeps cutting and it is easy to loose a call, on the streets and outdoors it is much better but occassionally it drop calls. In a nutshell outdoors is good indoors sucks.

This is the only hole in a system that covers Austin, Tx. very well. I only complain because my house is located within this area of below average coverage. My reception throughout the rest of Austin, TX is a 4 or 5.
