Even though at home I only get 2 bars of service, I wouldn't know it when using the phone. 2 bars or 5 bars, the calls all sound the same and are never dropped or choppy. And the premium services (VCast) have always worked for me here too, with digital "EV1X" reception at all times. The only thing Verizon could do better is offer better texting and email packages, or just charge less for their existing ones. I have the least expensive plan (450 mins, unlimited nights and weekends for $39.99) with insurance ($5.99) and after taxes my bill runs around $55.00 a month. When I download a ringtone or text, it's more. I don't mind paying $55 a month, because their service has never let me down, but it would be nice to get a texting and email package included with that price. BTW - My husband has AT&T (provided by his employer) and his reception stinks. It shows 2 bars also, but the calls are choppy or they get dropped or don't ring through at all. I switched to Verizon from Cingular 3 years ago (after 8 years with Cingular) because I was tired of their crappy customer service and constant errors on my bills.
