I get almost zero reception in LBA. I have to stand at the end of my driveway to have a conversation on my phone and even then, it's spotty. However, apparently I'm not the only one. I have friends and family who have T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T and they have little to no service at my house. I think all of the cell companies need to up their reception in Bastrop. It's not such a small town anymore.

Used to get 3 to 4 bars. AT&T has apparently reduced service to that area since I can't get one bar consistently in the exact same area any longer. Do your research before you get a cell for yourself in the boonies!

At&t Cingular works pretty good and seems to be best in this area.

Very poor reception at my house. Only get 1 or 2 bars unless I stand at a certain part in the house - like over the kitchen sink!

The customer service for Verizon wireless is the worst ever.. Took over an hour to finally talk to a real person. No telephone number on their actual website. Trying to get a rep is next to impossible.. Verizon wireless grade is an F

Sprint does not work in this area of Bastrop at all. When I signed up for the service they said that it would work fine. It doesn't I have to go out to the highway before I get a signal. I don't think anyone realy gets a signal out here. I guess it is because of the tall pine trees and all the hills.

Sprint reception really sucks in this area of Bastrop, TX. Not sure if the tall pine tree's have anything to do with it but I can't receive hardly any calls and when I do, they don't last and get dropped. Sprint needs to fix this issue.

I get decent reception where I live in Tahitian Village, however it's spotty in most of Tahitian Village. I rarely get reception in downtown Bastrop and never in Smithville. I get decent reception in other parts of Bastrop and good reception in Austin.

T-Mobile has not service in majority of the Bastrop, TX area (which is about 30 miles southeast of Austin). One might get lucky and get 1 bar by standing in the middle of the highway (if lucky).
