usually get 2-5 bars in my house in city limit but coverage gets sketchy on hwy 35 between BC and Angleton. Dropped ~$230 on a mobile signal amp that I installed in my car and seldom have less than 4 bars anywhere. Without the amp the coverage is still acceptable unless you're a big data user in which case just move to Lake Jackson for 3g. Dont know if theyll ever get 3g going out here in the sticks.

The V700 usually has poor reception so for it to get average reception means others will have better. Even so, we have found that Cingular in Bay City, despite their claims to the contrary, does work fairly well from 95% of the areas within the city limits and surrounding area. PS, don't ever buy Motorola - they are crap. Very poor QA goes into their manufacture. If they last two years it's a miracle.
