Currently we live in Conroe. We have AT&T (since they were Cingular) Both mine and my wifes phone stay at 1 - 2 bars, on the Edge network (Data). I also have an Option 3.6 Max card for my PC. I had to get an external antenna to get 3G on this card, which is still hit and miss. There is a cell tower just to the west of our location (approx 1 / 4 mile), but not sure is AT&T is carried on it. For the most part of greater Houston, always 3G and 5+ bars. There are some sections on I-10 and I-610 where you will drop signal though.

No signal in this area. You can make a call, but it will cut in and out and drop the call. I reported it to Verizon and they said that there was minimal coverage in this area and the trees block the signal. We were told we could get out of our contract without a penalty.

Get very few dropped calls, but reception could be clearer. Usually just one or two bars. Just tried a new Samsung M510, reception was worse than with my 4 year old phone, so I returned it. Will probably switch to Verizon soon. Looking at the LG vx8300 Phone. It's a nightmare trying to communicate with Sprint, all they do is apologize. Go apply for a job with Sprint - if you can say "I'm Sorry", they'll probably hire you.

Our phones dont work good at all. We cant use them at home at all. 2 miles east it works better in some areas(my work.) We stll have 15 months on our 2 yr contract. Thinking ATT might be better. Sprint dont care and try to blame the phone... if it were the phone they would do it everywhere.

I always get good reception, from the Houston Ship Channel all the way to Lake Conroe. No lost or dropped calls, loud and clear. I drive this route 5 days a week.

I can see the tower on Robinson Rd from my house but both my wife and I drop every single call we make. Even if we sit upstairs in front of our large window that faces the tower! I've even had the calls drop out in my front yard. We complained and Verizon told us there was nothing they could do and told us we could get out of our contract if we wanted. We tried Cingular for a few days and it was the same.

Less than one mile from tower at FM 1488 and SH 242, signal is erractic within Carriage Hills subdivision, but mostly 2 bars or less. 80% of all calls are dropped or are never recieved. Verizon claims we are in a strong signal area.
