While I get excellent reception throughout Dallas, I seem to get somewhat poor coverage at home. I only get between 1 and 2 bars in the house, while driving around it can go up to full strength.

Wife and I have used Sprint PCS as our online lines for over 2yers and Have never had signal issues. Reception is great downtown and even in the South Side on Lamar Building that used to be Sears. Old Brick and Steel doesn't hamper my calls.

I travel about 200 days out of the year for work, so I have to have good coverage nationwide. I have tried all of the major carriers and have come to the conclusion that the provider with the best coverage is Verizon. Their customer service isn't that great, but the coverage can't be beat. The other trick is to make sure and get a tri-mode phone. Most all phones have the two standard digital modes, but tri-mode phones also have the older analog format--which is still widely used in rural areas. Time and time again, side-by-side comparisons with coworkers phones have shown that a good tri-mode phone and Verizon is tough to beat. The Nokia 3589i has an external antenna and excellent battery life, but the earpiece is junk. You can't hear. I'm still waiting for wirless phone makers to come out with a phone that is A GOOD PHONE. They can keep all that text messaging, web browsing, and picture mail crap. Give me a phone that works!
