excellent. Verizon is perfect here. it is a VERY BIG DEAD spot for cell phones. Sprint- 0 bars, t-mobile- 1-2 bars, alltel, 1 bar, Cingular ( AT&T) 2-3 bar, Verizon- 5 BARS! but its weird I used to have the same exact phone and my aunt had 5 bars but mine would mostly show 4 but since I got the razr it always shows 4 bars which is the maximum. love Verizon
got Verizon directly now and still have full signal in all of el paso even in the middle of nowhere it will range from 3-4 ( 4 is the maximum bars on the razr)
I recently went to Mesilla, NM and I brought my old but new Sprint phone ( which I canceled) and my new Verizon phone. the difference was like night and day. in areas where there are many trees on both sides of the roads ( pecan farms) my Sprint would have 0 bars ( still had a signal) or read " SEARCHING" while my Verizon phone sat comfortably on 2 bars and had clear calls and no dropped calls. At Stahmanns a store where they sell goodies ( the store was where the road had MANY trees and the trees where around the store) my Sprint phone read " searching" while my Verizon had 3 bars and again had clear call qualtiy and no dropped calls. Inside the building I had 1-2 bars but still the same great quality. At Mesilla my Verizon phone had 4-5 bars depending where you were in this small town. my Sprint phone had 1-2 bars outside and usually 0-1 inside. and the Verizon phone had 3-4 bars inside stores. Also at a Nursery ( plants) my Verizon phone had 3-4 bars ( still in the road of trees) and my Sprint had 1 the Sprint voice quality was very garbeld ( I can call but it gives me a I need to activate but I can still see the call quality) ALL and ALL Verizon did so much better than sprint. and my my hometown of El Paso Verizon ALWAYS 5 bars and Sprint usually 1,2,3,4,5 the reason why I did all of those is becuase it is that spotty u could be driving and 5 bars for 5 minutes then 3 or 4 or 2 then 5 minutes later 4 or 5 fluctuates a lot.
I have the old Samsung R2225 that came free with the service 6 years ago. The only problem I have is going over the mountain on Transmountain, but I hear everyone does. It works pretty good everywhere I go... Arizona, New Mexico, Juarez. I was even down deep in the jungles of Michoacan Mexico once, and I could not believe it... the phone rang! Startled, I answered it. It was the wrong number. :) Just this past week I was at La Feria in Juarez, and it worked fine there, display showed it was T-Mobile service...
great! 5 bars everywhere literally not kiding but of course inside lowes or home depot or the very bottom floor of a 3 story mall it will go down to like 4 or 3 but usually rarely
There is absolutely no service once you pass Montana and Desert Meadows. That sucks for me but if you live in the city there's no problem.(except that the phones aren't all that) One really cool thing is that the reception in Juarez is usually pretty good, for those who go often.
