i Just got this phone from Cingular and I love it it give me super fast internet using EDGE that I never had with my razr or my z500a phones I would recommend Cingular to anyone look to switch
I have had Cingular for years and I have always had great reception. I moved here 4 years ago and I am constantly on roam, I still have my New Orleans number. It does not matter what side of the mountain I am on, or anywhere within the mountain. I used to have reception problems in Wal Mart on the grocery side of the store with my old Nokia, but no problems with the Razr. I have even been way up in the Arkansas mountains and I had reception, but no one else did with other service providers. I wouldn't trade Cingular for anything.
My mother in Miami My wife and I all have Tmobile. It works ok for the most part but I get almost no reception in the barracks in longknife village on Biggs. Futher-more for trainning at donna anna t mobile gives the worst reception. Others in my platoon have T-Mobile as well (with much more expesive phones than mine) and they encounter the same lack of reception, also it's a pain trying to get the goverment employees discount from t mobile with spirnt I just had to show my ID.
I have had Verizon for 13 years used to be GTE. I have never used another carrier, but know many people that have. Verizon has the best coverage, period. If you are on any CDMA network you will most likely get good service. CDMA(sprint, alltel, and Verizon). GSM is not that great and can not handle mass call volumes,(T-mobile,cingular) You can try the other carriers but Verizon works everywhere!
I have to be walking outside my apartment to get a signal. Even then I have to cut my conversations short because my call is usually dropped in a few minutes.
I recently brought a new phone and it get great reception, I use to have a sony Ericsson z500a I never had serive in trans mtn. now I have 4 or 5 bars were ever I go over the mtns and anywhere esle I love this phone
I've had SPRINT for over two years now and have never had a problem. No matter where I go, whether in El Paso or its surrounding suburbs, I've always had great reception and have had no drop calls or inturruptions, (like my old wireless carrier T-mobile, that carrier gave me nothing but bad service). So I strongly recommend SPRINT to anybody who wants reliable quality service.
