I have had Sprint for almost a year now and its been nothing but a hassle. Their service SUCKS! Theres always dropped calls and I get some voicemails and texts 5 or 7 hours later, if Im lucky enough to get them. The only reason I still bother is because I bought a 500.00 phone and have a 2 year contract. Whatever you do... DO NOT CHOOSE SPRINT!

Lots of bleedover from Mexico (MovieStar and Telcel) renders phone unable to be used at all

Cingular sucks. Sure their phones are way cool, but reception in El Paso sucks.

This service sucks can somebody tell me what company is the best in El Paso? its desperating to call customer service and loose half the day with a frustrated and ingnorant representative that knows nothing about coverage and is not willing to learn anything either so as to make a smart recomendation. Furthermore he only tells you that since you snoozed you loosed because you already accepted the contract conditions. By the way, the sound is apalling, echoes, interference, fading, etc... What can we do! Which carrier should I move to, please help knowledgable almighty audience! I can still turn the phone back since I have not had it for 20 days. Thank you

As of 2000, I have not had any problems with Verizon wireless. The reception has been good all throughout El Paso and its surrounding areas.

I have great reception in certain areas but there are huge holes where the reception goes bad and I have to walk around to an area to get better reception and the phone otherwise cuts in and out. I am seriously thinking of switching to another carrier

Over the last two months, I would say I've dropped at least 75% of all incoming or outgoing calls. When I called customer service, their solution was to extend my contract another 2 years and get $150 credit towards a new phone. As for general service, I use this phone for business all over the city. I've not noticed any hot or cold spots, except that on my phone the entire city is a cold spot for reception. I hate this thing now.

I get GREAT service with cingular, everywhere I go 5 bars. Im a lot happier with Cingular than with virgin mobile.

Apparently, the phone has a lot to do with the quality of signal you get. I live here and I've owned two "candybar" Nokias and have never had a problem (always 5 bars). This new Siemens CF62T, usually gives me 4 bars and sometimes some noisy calls.

it the best service I had so far, I had Sprint PCS and it was terrible I cancelled my contract with Sprint and switch to Cingular wireless. it was the best move I ever did. I would recommend Cingular to anyone. it work everywhere across north america.

The reception really sucks here in this part of the town. Otherwise the reception is OK to GOOD. I had a better reception with T-mobile. Now I cannot receve any call when I am in my apartment.

This service works well in my home. However, I cannot trust in other parts of the city. My mom lives in the lower valley and I can't use it there. I have roam free / national but can only use in major cities. Outside of their city limits---nothing.

I am about 4 blocks from a cell phone tower and I can't get data service on my Sidekick 2. I have reported this to tmobile.

It is mostly good, except that sometimes inside of the buildings the signal decreases.

Verizon wireless service in El Paso is good. The sound quality is not that great. At times I will get static and interference, when I am talking with someone. If you want excellent cell service, go with nextel.

I recently attained a second phone from Nextel and noticed that the signal strength is excellent in this area. My first primary phone is a Sprint Toshiba 4050 and it it horrible on reception. I live in a dead zone in the Northeast. I cannot get more than two bars of signal in my house with any Sprint phone. I'm on my 13th phone! I've been with them since 2000. So it's not the phones just the service. I cannot hold a conversation more than 5 minutes because I loose reception at my house. But with Nextel all calls come in I have full service and Never miss a call. Even in the foot hills of the mountains in the Northeast I have full service with Nextel. I really and strongly advise anyone considering switching service or starting service to consider Nextel. They are expensive now but they are starting to drop in their prices. If you don't care about dropped missed, or lousy reception consider the other carriers. Nextel is awesome and the way to go. As soon as my contract with Sprint is over they are History!!

may be if you t mobile customers buy better phones rather than using those cheap ones given to you. you guys would probably not cry as much...
