Originally had Verizon, but due to their high costs and charges, decided to cancel and go to Sprint. I got a Nexus S 4G about three days ago. I live in Flower Mound and work in Lewisville, and I have been getting almost no 4G coverage at all. Sometimes I get maybe one bar of 4G when I'm outside in Lewisville or surrounding areas. In Flower Mound, 4G is non-existant. As far as reception goes, I rarely get above two bars inside or outside. Talking to my wife who has an iPhone 4 through AT&T, our voice clarity is really bad. Voices sound scratchy. Gonna see if I can get any help from Sprint customer service, otherwise I'm thinking of cancelling and going back to Sprint.

No issues in Flower Mound anymore. They have really fixed things in the whole Dallas area. Usually 3-6 bars on my TREO 650 and 700p

Only one week on this new Sanyo Katana phone and the reception is a little better than my old Samsung N400. With the Samsung, I had no reception inside my own home and 1 or 2 bars when outside. I switched to a Sanyo because of several recommendations and my wife has a Sanyo and she can at least carry on a conversation if she doesn't move around too much. Cell reception in our part of the neighborhood seems to be very poor regardless of the carrier. The only cause that I can attribute to this is the high number of very tall trees we have around us. When you leave our neighborhood and travel to the nearby intersection of 2499 and 3040, the reception jumps up to 5 or 6 bars (figures - thats where the Sprint store is). I've called Sprint on 3 different occassions to complain about the coverage. They claim that they have 3 towers within a mile of my location (though none of them show up on the cell phone tower search) and that they'd send a service truck out to our area to measure the signal strength in our neighborhood. Its never gotten better and I've never been able to find out the results of those measurements. I've read a few posts where the Verizon service seems to fair better in our area. I think I'll try one of their phones to see if my reception improves - heck, with number portability I don't have to change my phone number to switch to a different service.

Sprint coverage seems to be pretty good with the Sanyo phone. Some reception problems while inside the house. Can get a call now. I could not before on T-Mobile.

Brand new phones with same reception problem as last. Little to no reception. Bridlewood Subdivision.
Sprints chart says very good signal. But it is actually very poor. My kids cingular coverage was good.
Not sure where Sprint is coming from!
