blackberry curve, blackberry bold, and dell streak all have 0-1 bars. 2 out of 10 calls go through on ground floor. Maybe 4 of 10 on second floor. No service in garage or backyard... NONE!

Always have dropped calls in Flower Mound, going through airport and in North Dallas behind the Galleria. Very frustrating. Also dropped calls in Southern California Hwy. 101 heading toward Ventura.

Gee- You buy the most popluar phone on the planet and the reception is LOUSY! We have lost so many calls that percentage wise I think the "lost calls" are more than the "good" calls. AT&T,as much money as y'all make on the iPhone,we need the service to go with it! Move it or lose us!

ATT coverage stinks in western Flower Mound. They have permits for a tower at Shiloh and 1171, but have done NOTHING for a year. Time to switch carriers.

Consistently drop calls in my house, seems to be ok on the roads and by FMHS, but usually one to two bars. Anyone know if they will be addressing this area?

I have had VZ Wireless for many years. Moved to new house in Wichita Chase 1.5 yrs ago. Reception was fine until the past 6 months or so (1 to 2 bars, lots of dropped calls in my house). Any suggestions? Can VZ Wireless do something? I have updated my roaming reach through my phone but no change.

Only one week on this new Sanyo Katana phone and the reception is a little better than my old Samsung N400. With the Samsung, I had no reception inside my own home and 1 or 2 bars when outside. I switched to a Sanyo because of several recommendations and my wife has a Sanyo and she can at least carry on a conversation if she doesn't move around too much. Cell reception in our part of the neighborhood seems to be very poor regardless of the carrier. The only cause that I can attribute to this is the high number of very tall trees we have around us. When you leave our neighborhood and travel to the nearby intersection of 2499 and 3040, the reception jumps up to 5 or 6 bars (figures - thats where the Sprint store is). I've called Sprint on 3 different occassions to complain about the coverage. They claim that they have 3 towers within a mile of my location (though none of them show up on the cell phone tower search) and that they'd send a service truck out to our area to measure the signal strength in our neighborhood. Its never gotten better and I've never been able to find out the results of those measurements. I've read a few posts where the Verizon service seems to fair better in our area. I think I'll try one of their phones to see if my reception improves - heck, with number portability I don't have to change my phone number to switch to a different service.

I've been very happy with Verizon after they put a cell phone tower right down the street. I've never had any signal problems except for around the 2499 and 407 intersection, where it drops to a bar, but I can normally still make fine calls. Either way they are in a process of putting up a tower there. I would recommend the service to anyone after my poor experiences with Cingular and Sprint.

Been ATT / Cingular customer for over 3 years (see previous post) and had little to no reception. Tonight, I went to try Verizon and got a test phone from them. The reception is better than it has ever been. Not even 6 months ago, "supposively" Verizon got FM to let them put a tower on the FM Fire Dept. For the first time, I have been able to walk all over my house and not drop a call! HIGHLY recommend if you are in the area and cannot get reception. Didn't mark the reception "perfect" because it is to early to tell... FYI - they will give you a free cell on the cheapest plan for 15 days to test yourself before converting your cell provider.

Have been an AT&T Wireless / Cingular for three years (on the old Digital network because the GSM was even worse). Cannot get a steady signal in the house. Might get lucky if I stand in the corner of the kitchen with foil attached to my head, and its a bonus if I get my VM within two days of the missed call. I know I am not the only one in my neighborhood, because everyone sits in their cars outside Lakewood finishing their calls before driving all the way home. This dead spot seems to be effecting providers that my friends and family use as well: Sprint, Cingular, T-Mobile.
