Perfect 5 bar reception inside and outside my home. Calls never drop and we have good data service with AT&T throughout the surrounding NE Tarrant county area.
Metro PCS has provided me with more conisitent coverage than any other carrier I have used (Sprint, Nextel, AT&T, Verizon). There seems to be a dead spot for all of them at NE 820 and Beach when you are exiting to Beach going west.
Practically a dead spot for at least a half mile radius from this intersection! If you have a phone that has great RF performance (Nokia, Motorola and maybe HTC) you can expect to get average reception on GSM and below average reception on 3G while outside - inside that will drop to poor reception on GSM and mostly no reception indoors - yes, I tested Nokia 6800's and Motorola V3's too (all, you will note, non-3G phones). If you do NOT have a great RF performing phone then you will get below average reception to poor reception on GSM and poor to no reception on 3G - inside that will, again, drop to poor to no reception on GSM and mostly no reception on 3G. In any case your 3G phone will hand off from 3G to 2G and back again several times an hour.
