You cannot get reception from Sprint here in the apartments, nor half of the complex even if you go outside. They say we are too close to the tower..that is across on the other side of 35w

I recently got rid of my lan line and use my Evo's hot spot. Bad decision! I thought it was my lap top or Evo. It's Sprint reception! 1 more yr on contract and I'm gone to someone else.

I recently got three 9330's for the family from Sprint. Reception is terrible inside my house and not that good outside. Sprint needs to put up more towers in the near south side of Fort Worth. That would be the Hospital district and the Fairmount and Ryan Place neighborhoods.

I can get all bars in 4G, in the parking lot of Albertsons; at the corner of loop 820 and White Settement Rd. When I drive west -to my house- reception drops to 2 bars in 3G, after about 1 quarter mile.

We have no reception in our house - outside on the porch is somewhat better. This is a major problem because we no longer have a land line. I'm counting down days until we can get out of this contract.

Horrible reception in my house, in Wedgwood, south of I-20. While talking to a friend the other night, right by the window, I dropped our call 5 times. 5 times! There's barely a spot in my house that works well. Or at my parents' house. Or anywhere I frequent. The internet is sluggish at best, even outside. I've found few places where it works at a relatively decent pace anywhere on the SW side of Fort Worth. It's maddening to pay to have internet on my cool phone and then it barely works, and drops calls ALL THE TIME. Getting ready to pay the early cancel fee and switch to AT&T, which I had before and should've stayed with.

I called Sprint a couple of months ago and told them that, my cell phone has been dropping my calls when i'am at home, Sprint sent me an "airwave" it was to boost my cell phone range. at best I have to sit near the airwave to use my phone. I called Sprint back to complain, they told me that the Sprint towers in my area were reporting good signal rating, I told them to come to my house and call me, they said they would send an field tech to check it out. durning that call, my cell phone dropped the call ! I wonder if Sprint is trying to call me back... ... don't have a clue my phone is not working. I think i'll just sit out on the front porch for a couple of weeks and see if they show up lol

In my 3 years with Sprint, I've never had a problem in Weatherford, Dallas, or West Fort Worth (Camp Bowie and Ridglea), but since my recent move to NW Fort Worth off of Bowman Roberts and Cromwell Marine Creek there is almost no reception! I have to make calls outside. If someone calls me when I'm inside the house, it never rings and goes straight to voicemail. Very annoying. A friend came over with T-Mobil and his phone had 5 bars. Lucky for me, my contract is up in November.

I have to talk on my cell phone outside to hope to have a connection longer than 5 minutes as in the house will certainly produce a dropped call. I had T-Mobile working wonderfully but family member got me a discount on the phone and service. Sprint connection works well through out the metroplex... just not very well in my home.

Inside my house, I have no reception. Have to stand outside to make a call. Calls dropped frequently. Reported to Sprint. "Engineering" said there was no problem with network equipment. Must be the phone. When I told them my husband and I have identical phones with identical issue, Engineer said, "it may have been a bad batch of phones." Now, I see that this is a long-standing problem. No towers.

We moved to the area after having great service with Sprint for years in other cities. Now we can't get any reception inside our house and only 1 bar at times outside, but then it drops your calls immediately. I have heard from neighbors that spring knows about this problem for years and has been promising a new tower, yet nothing has happened yet. Just empty promises and we are stuck in contracts that we can't use. I'm switching ASAP. Spring customer service has been worthless despite being a customer for over 7 years... .

My phone alternates between 0, 1, and 2 bars. People will frequently try to call me but the phone won't ring. Maybe 20 minutes later I'll get notification of a voicemail. Even outside the house, it may take several minutes to get a signal. My girlfriend's phone doesn't fare mutch better. If I enable roaming on the phone, frequently when I try to make a call it will say something like "Welcome to America's Roaming Network! Please have your credit card ready to make a call"

I get great service pretty much everywhere I go with Sprint, especially the west side of Fort Worth. I have a high speed data card that works great at home near Camp Bowie. I travel frequently and I'm all around the Fort Worth area. As with any carrier, you will get a dead spot or two, but I'm usually out if it within a quarter mile on the highway. Great service. Highly recommended.

Well. It's your old friend JP again. Here is the latest. I was out of town for a few weeks and shortly after my return, the Sprint coverage bit the dust again. Once I turn off Camp Bowie onto the Normandale streets (especially South Normandale), the bars go progressive down. Once I get in front of my apartment complex, calls start to drop after a few seconds. In the apartment, it's the same way. Meanwhile, my roomate is chattering away on his Cingular Phone (He switched from Sprint because of his miserable reception in the apartment complex and some other place. I might as well face it. I will not be able to carry a conversation in this apartment complex unless I switch carriers. This is unfortunate because there will be a early termination fee, even though the service failed to meet my needs - both at work and at the job. Such is life.

FOLLOW-UP PREVIOUS POST BY ME -JP I don't know what Sprint has done, but since I returned to town, from my weeklong trip, on January 17, 2007, I suddenly have had good reception in this area! Before, my calls would last around 30 seconds and would then drop. Now, while the reception is not perfect, I am still able to get enough bars to carry on a conversation. Dropped calls are not nearly as frequent as they were previously when the service first started messing up, around early-to-mid December. Thank you, Sprint for improving the service. If there was some technical problem, I wish you would have had some way of notifying us, the customer, to make us aware so that we could have been be more patient (and give you a chance to work it out). For now, life is pretty good, with respect to my cell phone service. Sincerely, JP

Camp Bowie / South Normandale / 820 (west Loop Section), Fort Worth, TX 76116 Tue Jan 09, 2007

Oh Man! Where do I start! I got into town in late October 2007. My phone worked fine, in and outside my apartment, which is one of many located around South Normandale in West Fort Worth, just off Camp Bowie Road, near its intersection with highway / loop 820. Around 2 1 / 2 to 3 weeks ago, my phone started dropping calls. I could watch the signal strength bars as they went from four bars to none, over and over. When I made phone calls, I had around 10-15 seconds to talk, then the call would drop. I had to wait a second or two before I got bars to call again. I only have a cell phone so you can imagine my frustration. I thought that maybe the phone was messed up, but my roommate, who also has Sprint, said he had been having the same problem, going back two or three weeks. He has resorted to going outside into the cold when he has to make a call, and the calls still drop. Frustrated, I called Sprint to find out what the heck was going on. I called while driving on North Loop 820. The second time I got through to an agent (the first call dropped, but that was understandable considering there "ain't much out in NorthWest Fort Worth), I was transferred to service, but that call dropped too. For now, my reception problem will have to remain a mystery. But when I move a a few months, if my house has this type of reception, I may have to invite friends with different phones over to the house to see if ANY work. This has been a pitiful and shameful display of either Sprint's technological prowess, or their ignoring of the area I live in. Either way, I lose, and the company has failed to provide me the service I am paying over $150.00 a month for. Sincerely, JP

This square in the SW corner of Int 30 and 820 has yielded no signal or one bar since moving summer 03. Called and was told a new tower was going up at Meadowbrook and 820 in summer of '04. If this happened, it hasn't made any change to reception. Wondering if it has something to do with big Channel 11 tv tower. But, Cingular and Verizon reception is fine, you get multiple bars all day long. I need to call again but it's such a whip to file a ticket and go through the motions. Really is not right to pay for 2000 min a month that we can't use at home and we are stuck in the contract.

Never have a problem with reception anywhere in the Fort Worth area. I spend probably 90% of my time out there. If you use sprint, only get a sanyo phone. They only make phones for sprint from what I've found out, so their phones are tuned to the sprint network better than others, I feel. Hope this helps anyone.
