Voice / Text reception is good. I get "3G" data, however the speeds are fairly slow. Don't expect to get more than about half a Mbps. 250 kbps is more reasonable. Verizon is your best bet here in Gilmer. Sprint has improved their infrastructure here, as well. My coworker on Sprint also gets 3G reception.

Just moved here and reception is good for voice but no 3g or even edge network, only gprs for data so don't expet to watch any vids or have fast downloads though if you hange network to ROAMING you can at least get edge which is a little better though not much, hope they get 3g out here soon or I'm gonna switch companies when my plan is up. Not worth paying an early termination fee if I can use my phone.

Loose service about 4 miles north of Longview. Service is terrible if you get more than 10 miles away from major city or interstate hwy.

Sometimes get one bar but calls almost always get dropped. Get 3-4 bars if you have a dual band phone and can get it to go to digital roam... uses Cellular One (aka Alltel) tower. Can only get roam signal in Gilmer. Full signal on I-20 anywhere between Dallas and Shreveport.
