Zero reception in my apartment 5 minutes from downtown Houston. AT&T covers 97% of America, but I guess the Museum District in Houston is part of the other 3%. I've had enough of paying money for no service. Switching to Verizon as soon as my contract is up next month.

The reception within The Methodist Hospital is horrible. I'm here for more than half the day (meaning half my life) and I do not have any reception. So I'm constantly missing calls and messages. I've contacted A&T on a monthly basis about this problem and they keep telling me that they are working on it but it's taking some time. It's 2010 almost 2011 and they never thought that they should put a antenna within the hospital or improve the reception within the Medical Center? With the amount of people that work here or patients that come here; you would think that someone in charge would actually have the intelligence to think that putting an antenna there to improve recepition and improve business.

Zero coverage in our near my house (5 minutes from downtown Houston). Drop calls on I-45 downtown. Regularly drop calls all over town. Can't get on internet except where Wi-Fi is available.

I have very good reception all over with my phone and my So has a lower grade phone and his is typically better. No complaints with service so far, calls, text and web are good. I'm just sick of this contract thing and want to try something else. Cricket or Boost anyone? No more contracts and super high phone bills! I want unlimited everything!

Can't depend on this bleep bleep blackberry bold 9700 for anything. Must get my land line back in case of emergency. Hardly "zip" for making calls anywhere else in the apt. except to stand by window (if lucky it works). Lots of dropped calls. Making calls - phone won't ring unless try several times. Lots of missed calls - phone never rang. It's only a few months old, now the battery won't hold a charge. I hate to say it, but TX coverage with T-Mobile really does stink! I am sick of paying $147 a month for 2 useless "pieces of garbage" T-Mobile phone's. My son is on my a / c with a G1, which isn't much better! When he is at my place, he has to go outside for decent reception.

I always lose reception and get the SOS signal when I drive through Memorial park area. Also I get dropped calls or calls failed message when trying to dial in any part of Houston. I am not sure if it is the Bold 9700 issue or is it just t mobile altogether.

Almost never had dropped calls inside my house. A Sprint rep once told me that Sanyo phones get the best reception because they were made for Sprint; don't know if that is true but seems so. My husband and I have the basic Sanyo phones and never had problems even travelling between Seattle through Florida. Our son always had the new-fangled phones of other brands but often had to go outside the house to get a decent reception.

3 years ago ATT service was great in this location. Today I get nothing but dropped calls and network errors, maybe 1 bar outside, completely useless indoors. Even when I'm out and about around Houston with 4+ bars I still get dropped 70% of the time. It's possible that there isn't enough bandwidth available for all the stupid 'smart phones' the lemmings just have to have to be cool.

For the 3 weeks, every other calls is either staticy or the caller is unable to hear me. I've called T-Mobile (611) and they said they are unaware of any problems. Weird, since it's happening to everyone I know that has T-Mobile in Houston.

Reception is decent, but what plagues AT&T is calls dropped. I'll pay any money not to have my calls mysteriously get cut off if over 2 minutes. AT&T is aweful and the iPhone is superior. The new option for Verizon as a iPhone carrier will put enormous pressure on Ma Bell to allieviate their issues... hopefully!

I have never had a problem with dropped calls or reception in the Heights or anywhere throughout Houston. My contract is up and I'm considering switching over to T-Mobile, but their monthly rates are just as high as At&t's. In the past, I have had problems with At&t's customer service, but within the past 6 months, there has been considerate improvement. I may just stay with AT&T after all. Looks like they're making an attempt to compete rather just stay afloat with iphone craze. Iphone 3Gs, IMO is way over rated unless you want to surf the web on your phone. Definitely just a toy--not a business tool. I've also used the Samsung Blackjack---had no problems with it either. It's just a very outdated phone and I need to upgrade.

OMG... I've been with T-Mobile since they were Aerial as well (since 1998) to be exact and I'm so upset with the lack of service I've been getting. My cell is my only means of communication and people tell me all the time that they have to call me 7-8 times before it rings... .otherwise, it goes to vmail. Don't EVEN get me started on their broadband... ... .

The trick to good reception is to stand on 1 foot facing NNE and squint your eyes. I get no voice reception inside the townhouse (vinyl siding over wood). Many neighbors also go outside to talk on the phone. As consumers we're crazy to put up with this. If our computers were this unreliable they would have never sold. We put up with it. Shame on us.
