I had Sprint in the Past and I had to get another service provider because of the missed text and calls. But that was back in 2005. I am glad I made the switch back to Sprint because of all the providers capping the data or slowing down the speeds down to EDGE a.k.a T-Mobile! But over all I am overly pleased with Sprint. I have only had one dropped call and that was in the underground basement of the Science museum here in Houston.

Phone had reception up until April 8th 2011, now I cannot receive phone calls or text but the apps (Facebook, Twitter) still work. I currently pick up someone from the Metro bus stops and it isn't safe to be without a line of communication..especially for women. Get it together Sprint or lose a 10 yr plus customer (with multiple lines).

Almost never had dropped calls inside my house. A Sprint rep once told me that Sanyo phones get the best reception because they were made for Sprint; don't know if that is true but seems so. My husband and I have the basic Sanyo phones and never had problems even travelling between Seattle through Florida. Our son always had the new-fangled phones of other brands but often had to go outside the house to get a decent reception.

I am on my FOURTH Sprint cell phone and not one has been able to get reception at my house. I also don't get reception when driving past Bellaire High School, Meyerland Plaza, or at my office (when I get calls at my home or office I have to run outside). I have been with them since 2000 when I was younger and my parents payed for the service. Because they were paying for it I accepted it. Now that I am on my own I have changed to Verizon and the reception is great. The bills are much higher, but at the end of the day being able to actually use my cell phone is the most important quality for me.

Very embrassing for business! I am FUSTRATED with Sprint as they cannot help me at all. Our contract ends in September and we will switch. I highly do NOT recommend Sprint in the Meyerland Area!

Horrible Reception in Townhome (likely interference from steel structure or something like that). Sprint service seems very patchy to me in Houston. Especially in Spring, TX (North of Houston). The medical center gets good reception, of course. I've been with them too long and am going to try Cingular or Verizon.

I've been with Sprint for 8 years and I'm appalled at how much the service - both reception and customer - has deteriorated. I travel on business across the U. S. and my phone keeps dropping calls. It doesn't matter which state I'm in. I went into the store on Westheimer and Dunvale to purchase a new phone on the off-chance that the problem lies within my handset. It took the service rep guy 45 minutes to program my new phone, and when he was finished, he had programed the wrong phone line onto my phone. That's an honest mistake, and easily corrected, right? Wrong! It took him 4 hours to find out how to fix the problem and he had to call the *2 customer line for assistance. Then the manager tells him not to do what the *2 customer rep told him to do because that would mess up store inventory. The manager then says he'll fix it. This is after 4 hours! of sitting right next to the poor guy and watching him struggle to reprogram the phone, and watching me wait. When I told the manager I thought it was ridiculous that it took him 4 hours to step in and help, that this was the last straw ontop of months of horrible service, and that Sprint was about to lose my business. He said "I don't care". People, that about sums up Sprint right now - They don't care!

if you change the settings to roam you have lot's of signal. I was in pert, texas, a small town in east texas and I didn't have any signal at all. I changed the settings and in 'digital roam' I had full signal. there's no roaming charges with my plan so it doesn't matter. Sprint seems to have contracts to bounce off several carriers towers which makes your roaming area even broader. it's a good thing. the only complaint I have with this phone is that the keypad seems to get really hot, but, it makes the inside of my face hot. I normally hold it up to my right ear and now my right eye has a twitch - is there a link? possibly.

Travelling I never had problems.Except 59 north around Nacodoches, which honestly not many carriers have reception in those areas. Major highway, interstate roads never had problems. It also sometimes depends on the phone as well. I had small LG flip phone didn't work well.

Dropped calls are the rule rather than the exception. Even standinging outside in my driveway, if I move a foot either direction, it drops or else says I am not in a PCS service area. Sheesh! When traveling, it is common that my Sprint service is unavailable, while my daughter's Verizon phone has no problem. This is especially true in analog roam areas, where anything theoretically works.

We very rarely have reception problems with our Sprint phones in this area. Occasionally an incoming call won't ring through during evening rush hours, but aside from that, it works beautifully here for us. We routinely traverse the area along S. Hwy. 6 at West Oaks and Mission Bend, up along N. Hwy. 6 through Bear Creek and Copperfield, and on up FM 1960 to the Willowbrook area, while using our Sprint phones. We also make routine treks to Katy along I-10 or Clay Rd. as far as Grand Pwky. Service is always top-notch for us in all of those areas as well! We've now had Sprint for 6 years and dropped calls in our area have truly been a rarity for the past 2-3 years.

Reception is sproadic at best even though they claim to have towers all around the area. Even the new Sprint PCS Store at loop 610 and Shepperd has difficulty with reception. The Manager is the most vocal about the problem, seconded by the Tech Reps. The Sales staff tells customers that Sprint is not going to change anything further. Question is "What did they change before?" I'm a long time Sprint customer and the service in the past 8 months has deteroiated substantially. Twice in the past 2 days, someone almost got hurt when the Sprint reliability factor was inviked and the phones went to Drop Dead Status. Sorry Sprint, a lot of us complained and you don't want to fix the problem. Time for a change

Coverage is great inside my house and out. Generally no problems with Sprint in Houston except near Houston Center on the east side of Downtown... goes to analog roam. Same thing happened yesterday in the new trench on US 59 just south of downtown, although towers line that stretch of freeway. That being said, I still have yet to experience a dropped call, although roaming can be pricey at 50 cents / min.
