I've had Sprint PCS for 5 years. I really satisfied with the service. I travel quite a lot as well. Travelling I never had problems.Except 59 north around Nacodoches, which honestly not many carriers have reception in those areas. Major highway, interstate roads never had problems. It also sometimes depends on the phone as well. I had small LG flip phone didn't work well.
Dropped calls are the rule rather than the exception. Even standinging outside in my driveway, if I move a foot either direction, it drops or else says I am not in a PCS service area. Sheesh! When traveling, it is common that my Sprint service is unavailable, while my daughter's Verizon phone has no problem. This is especially true in analog roam areas, where anything theoretically works.
I live on a second floor apartment and get no signal and many dropped calls. Its so bad that I have to get in my car and drive to get a signal. THANKS SPRINT!
We very rarely have reception problems with our Sprint phones in this area. Occasionally an incoming call won't ring through during evening rush hours, but aside from that, it works beautifully here for us. We routinely traverse the area along S. Hwy. 6 at West Oaks and Mission Bend, up along N. Hwy. 6 through Bear Creek and Copperfield, and on up FM 1960 to the Willowbrook area, while using our Sprint phones. We also make routine treks to Katy along I-10 or Clay Rd. as far as Grand Pwky. Service is always top-notch for us in all of those areas as well! We've now had Sprint for 6 years and dropped calls in our area have truly been a rarity for the past 2-3 years.
Spotty reception in my house -- could be the lead paint or my crappy handset. Contacted Cingular / AT&T many times -- they provided new phone but problems persist. Other folks (including Cingular customers) don't have any problems with receiving service in our home, so I don't think it's the paint (probably no lead in it anyway). -xebtron
It's pretty bad when you cannot talk outside of two Sprint stores about 3 miles apart from Sprint to Sprint or Sprint to any other phone. Even the employees cannot defend the poor performance of their company; and the managerrs are also complaining to the customers. Why would Sprint invest in 2 stores and not have adequate tower coverage? Is this a sign from the dysfunctional elite that must be at the helm of this company? This isn't Overland, Kansas and a cow pasture, its downtown Houston. Is someone there looking at these problems? If you live in the Height Area and cannot use your phone adequately, call 1-888-211-4727 and complain---complain---complain.
never had a dropped call with Verizon only problem voice echoes sometimes for some reason when I had Nextel before I would always have 2 bars with Verizon I got all of them
