Outside the building I get 4 bars easy, sometimes 5. Inside I get 2 which is incredible seeing as Im inside a concrete and steel building with no windows at atleast 2' thick walls. MCC

Even though the number of bars was good the reception was terrible. Couldnt talk within the apartment.

I never seem to have a problem around my house. No dropped calls and full signal. This is important because my kids need to be able to get hold of me when they are out.

Only 18 months to go... Dropped calls, no call received- just routes to voice mail, several failed text attempts. Nothing like paying too much for so little.

Since Cingular is ATT..is going downhill... FAST!

Good when was Cingular..not the best but it was decent... horrible ever since it's ATT..indoors and outdoors... does not matter anymore... dead spots everywhere

Signal drops when you get on the Ship Channel going either direction.

Usually get 2 bars inside the house in Deerfield Subdivision. Frequently drops calls. I used to have Cingular and changed to Sprint due to spotty Cingular service out of state. That was a mistake. Went from bad to worse with Sprint.

I have had good recieption in this location ever since I got my phone. My wifa has a Razr [on Verizon] and her signal is good also. Some friends with fancy phones and other providers have even experienced weak and sometimes no signal. Intersting even though there seem to be very few towers close by.

i have been living here since nov. of 2006. perfect reception until 2 weeks ago (current date june 22 2007). something must have changed in the local area. everything in my apartment is exactly the same, but my razr only works (within 3 blocks of my house) 2 out of 5 times. anyone else in 77090 having cingular / att problems?

Nextel sucks. I used to sell cell phones for 7 years and Nextel has and always will suck. Only reason I am with them is because of my discount I get with them. Contract is up in 1 week (thanks God!) and I rather pay full price with another carrier. Shady reception, tons of dropped calls..One day you can have 5 bars at a location and next day zero reception / low reception at same exact location. Constant network is busy / try again later error messages, Nextel is horrible and I will die a happy man once they go out of business. Trust me, Nextel realizes they suck and the only reason Nextel exists is because somehow it became cool by this ghey hip hop generation to use the walkie-talkie feature.

Since Sprint upgraded the tower near Cy Fair College around February of 2007 service has been great. Also, speeds with the data card are awesome.

Downtown in the 4th largest city inthe country on one of the most traveled streets in the city and no service. Cingular / ATT service coverage is really ragged in Houston but this area is the worst.

Good reception if you are not indoors. Some calls go directly to voice mail but Cingular does a fair job in this area. Cingular service people are not very helpful in resoving issues with dropped calls when they happen. They act big and it shows.

Several phones over several years and still seem to lose calls around this intersection.

i just moved from new orleans to woodland heights and have had Cingular for 3 or 4 years, even worked during the hurricane. I am on my second new phone in a month, calls are dropped every few minutes, sound garbled and they keep telling me to call customer service (which I did once and was on hold for over an hour). horrible everything with Cingular since moving to houston. I am very confused which carrier to go with.

When we moved in 2yrs ago was outstanding signal inside and out. Then in December 2006 they started the tower mergers and it totally sucks. No signal indoors now at all, outside is barely 2 bars and drops calls usualy every 10 minutes. More than a dozen support calls and they have the gall to tell me it due to being too close to the tower of all things, causing an umbrella effect on the treo's. I can see the tower from the porch less than 1 / 2 mile away. Its a joke of an answer from them because I go to other towers and stand right under them and the phone works like a champ. Trying to get them to believe this tower here has issues is like talking to the wall. Its so easy to tell where the towers are loacted from there coverage maps, and drive to them. I've tried now at several and same results. I have a Sprint work phone, works great at same place. Wife got fed up and droped her Cingular for a T-Mobile and that's also doing great. I'll probably drop them also but I love the outlook intergration I got going with the treo.
