I had T-Mobile for about 5 years but changed last year to a straight talk pre paid. For me, T-Mobile had great customer service but I always had a data dead zone on Greenhouse and Clay next to my house. It was just at the intersection. Well I bought a new phone that wasn't compatible with t-mobiles data at the time so I went with a prepaid that used AT&T network. Great 4g coverage but it had terrible customers service. So I tried T-Mobile out again now that my phone is compatible with them. I don't have lte, just 4g hspd+, and the data is really odd. It says I have 3g / 4g most of the time but my speed test fluctuate drastically. One test says I have.5Mbps data speeds and the next I have 10Mbps. So idk. This is the third day of having T-Mobile again so I'm going to keep testing out the speeds.Was this review helpful to you?

My reception for voice is perfect. I have NO dropped calls, dead air, or white noise. My text messages come through fine with no duplicates or delays. My issue has everything to do with the data. When the LTE was first launching, I was a store manager for Sprint and luckily my area was the very first to get a Network Vision tower with speeds of 35 down and 25 up. It was great. I knew once they started adding LTE to other towers around the city that would decrease which was fine. Fast forward to now and I can't get 4G service in or around my home except if it's 1AM when everyone is sleep and no one is hardly using the service. I called Sprint several times and inquired about this, took my phone to the service centers (3 in total for different opinions), and reset my device twice. To no avail, I had to put my antenna to only pick up 3G which has gotten speedier but only in bursts. This is quite aggravating and Sprint continues to tell me that neither of the 2 towers in my vicinity are bad and are working fine. It's terrible that I can't watch any youtube videos, access simple web pages, or even download a picture message without waiting 2-4 minutes.Was this review helpful to you?
Ever since T-Mobile teamed up with Walmart the 1st of June 2013, my service has sucked. I travel 249,BW8,Hardy, 610,59 downtown and back. I can count on 2 to 3 dropped calls every morning and evening on the commute. At the house, I can never get reception in certain parts of the house. Have to go outside to talk, so what good is Tmobile? NOT GOOD, RECOMMEND ANY CARRIER BUT THEM, unless you are a walmartion and have not choice, then you clog up the system for everyone else. Tethering from my phone is terrible, Most of the time is during peek daytime hours, I traced it to the T-Mobile network and not my pc or phone, I opened a command prompt on my pc and typed in a to trace the rout my connection was taking and the connection timed out on the T-Mobile dns server side. I am somewhat familiar with networking and knew what the ip address was for my phone and at what point it hit the T-Mobile's towers network, this is where I got the timeout message.Was this review helpful to you?
I get consistently good basic service using an eight year old basic phone. Reception is excellent indoors. Texts work fine. Too bad the service is so pricey. No idea about 3g, 4g or voicemail as I don't have those services.Was this review helpful to you?
I switched phones two months ago. Before switching phones I had terrible service but after getting my new phone my service is much much better. I usually have LTE and when I do not I have 4G. Once in a while I will a call where I dial the person and it appears they answer but I do not hear anything so I redial. Not sure if it's my phone or theirs.
