When I had Verizon I would lose service near the most interior walls. Now that I'm with T-Mobile (for 2yrs.) I get full bars in and out. You should never have to step outside you home to talk on your cell.

Excellent and consistent coverage indoors and out all over Houston (except at the 610 / Memorial Drive / RR tracks intersection by Memorial Park, where nobody I know of gets reception) as well as in Boston, New York City, Montreal, Seattle, Miami and their broad environs. Even works seamlessly in elevators. Only reception problems are in deep interiors of buildings built heavily of concrete. However, have had problems with customer service overseas and with handsets evidently designed to break down four months before the end of 2-year contracts.

Reception is never a problem inside or outside of my office building / parking garage... I can even continue a phone call while riding the elevators, without any dead pockets. People are always astonished and ask me quite frequently who my carrier is.

Never anything less than 100% service with T-Mobile, for 18 mos. running. Phones have worked without fail everywhere in the Houston area, Austin area, and down the coast to Corpus. Big improvement over Cingular's unpredictable service.

Since Sprint upgraded the tower near Cy Fair College around February of 2007 service has been great. Also, speeds with the data card are awesome.

I receive and send calls frequently in this area and get very good reception. I understand Sprint is adding another tower very soon as well.

Studewood / Heights / Studewood intersection, Houston, TX 77009 Sat Apr 21, 2007

When I had Cingular, I could never get calls inside my house. Finally, they said that the towers out here in the Heights were not adequate. There was a dispute over a tower at 11th and Studewood some years ago. It is covered with a facade. So nobody wants to put adequate towers in this historical district. I explained this to Cingular and got out of my contract. I went with Verizon and have had no problem since. Evidentially their technology is better or something.

Overall I believe Verizon has the best network especially at the University of Houston0-main. You know the satellite, underground dining, where most of my friends have no signal (yes ironic name) but I at most 2 bars, which is better than their 0bars. Even in classrooms like the fleming building or the Science Engineering and Research classrooms I get signal. And last but not least, the MD Anderson Library. I get signal in the computer lab. It does at times go in and out, but hey I am getting signal and not T-Mobile or cingular. or Sprint ha ha poor sprint. Not sure about cricket though. I just wish verizon's plans werent so expensive, but hey for signal pretty much anywhere is a good trade off. You get what you pay for.

Ive never had a dropeed call with Sprint in this area, and I have been living here for about a year now. Shame they dont have cool phones like cingular, but I believe Sprint is the best for the houston area !
