We cannot get dsl hi speed Internet through landlines or 3G. I have even considered allocating space on my land for a cell tower so I can get 3G coverage and internet service. This area of Panola County is "No Mans Land" as no carriers want to make the commitment to provide decent commuication services. Many times I have to go outside to get reception. Virgin Mifi has one of the best 3G wireless devices for 40.00 a month with up to 5 devices to connect to it for 3G Internet service. Hughes Speed net is a joke. With all of the major oil and gas well production in the area and the major drilling and completion companies, you would think they would be able to influence more infrastructure to be installed and activated by the major cell carriers. Something has to happen soon. We have worst coverage than many 3rd world countries.

I think me and a few other people would like it if AT&T would put up a tower some where in Shelby County. There is a better phone selection and AT&T has better stuff then Cellularone, which I hate-About a Year ago they just got Blackerrys. They are so far behide its not even funny.

Third world country reception in this entire county of Shelby! AT&T's reception is terrible, comical at best. Actually, the third world has better.

NO reception with any phone Flatfork Creek Bridge to Joaquin, from Joaquin to three miles west on 84. From there going south through the farm market roads. Terrible dead zones. This is a huge area to not have cell coverage. Approximately 5000 folks in a rural area of five * ten miles.
