Dropped calls and terrible data here, all over Houston and Texas. AT&T is terrible and I will be switching carriers when my contract is up.

Have to go to Peek on west or Mason on east to get a good signal

AT&T tower less than 1 / 2 mile away. 0-2 bars in house. 1-4 outside. Complaints to AT&T only produced a Micro Tower, which I could not get to work, and "Oh you live in one of those houses with a reflective thermal barrier in the roof. We are trying to get our signal boosted in the area, but can't get any help from the developers. Sorry." Does anyone make a simple outside antenna that I can mount next to my dish?

Just bought 2 iPhones. They do not work at the house, and driving around Cinco, never get more than 2 bars, The old Samsung's weren't great, but would work with some dropped calls at the house.AT&T better get their act together. THe iPhones are going back!

Here in the Seven Meadows area, the reception is pretty bad.. 1-2 bars, and as soon as I get on Grand Pkwy. it goes to 4-5... ... As of 2012 the service drops all of the time, it's like it's searching for a tower or something... ... not good!.T-Mobile and Verizon work better around here :(

My signal goes in and out randomly I never get over 3 bars of 3G then it'll say roaming or no service or it will drop to edge!-_- wish AT&T would do something... .. Soon I don't see why they wouldn't have great service this better be an excuse for a 4g tower coming real soon!

Personal cell is with AT&T. Work cell is with Verizon. Verizon has 4 bars and works fine. AT&T has 1 bar to no service at times. Regarding comment from previous post... .Why can't AT&T get their service to work like Verizon? If HOA won't allow AT&T towers, then they won't allow Verizon towers, but yet I can still get full coverage from Verizon. How does that work?

Very frustrated here. Their map shows the best coverage here. It is not true at all. Considering cancelling contract.

0 to 1 bars from mid May. ATT says that they have had an equipment problem on their tower, but no sign of improvement. Reception has always been spotty, and now need microcell, but it does not work with my work provided blackberry.

Since we moved to our home in 2009, we had excellent service from AT&T. Started a few months ago, we are unable to receive or make calls quite often even the phone shows 2 or 3 bars.

Have had bad reception for at least 2 months. Have to go outside to make calls. Have called ATT and said they are working on problem with no ETA

AT&T's almost complete lack of coverage in Cinco Ranch is not AT&T's fault. The problem stems from our deed restrictions TOTALLY BANNING radio towers of any kind. AT&T actually offered $20,000 annual to the Heritage Grand HOA to allow construction of a 120' monopole (cell tower) hidden away in the trees next to their sewer lift station and the HOA said NO! Our problem in Cinco Ranch is one of education. We cannot have the goodies without also having the communications infrastructure to support them. Maybe after a few of these all-powerful HOAs get sued after someone dies because they cannot call 911 from their cell phone someone out her will wake up!

Dropped calls, unable to receive calls, terrible connection, 4 phones in household, all experiencing problems in last few months.

Since late April reception has done down the tubes. Added the Microcell which helped a great deal. Talked to AT&T customer service and they were quite helpful, they at least tried to explain the issue. Things are supposed to improve from the end of June to the middle of July. I know somethings happening because part of the day int backyard I have no coverage and part of the day full bars, like they are turning something on and off, don't know but I think thugs will be back to normal in a few weeks.

Since April, I have not been able to make outgoing calls from my home. Incoming calls are very sparatic. I'll put my phone down and without ringing I'll have several voicemails.

Since May 2011 I have also received almost no reception at all. If I am able to make a call, it usually drops within 5 minutes. My phone fluctuates between 0 and 3 bars, but usually won't make a call even when it shows bars. It seems to be an issue with overloaded towers, because Katy TX is flat with no tall buildings. Companies should be held responsible for locking customers into a contract and then not providing the service they are forced to pay for. How is that legal?

I have very little reception, cannot connect to internet, send texts, and have constant dropped calls, All of this just started within the last months.

We moved about two years ago about a mile from our last home. We did not have issues like we are having now. 1 bar on our Iphones outside the house. Forced to get a microcell device which helps, but unfortunate to have to buy a "minitower" because AT&T's towers are so inadaquate. A number of friends have moved to Verizon. I likely will if the network does not get better. After talking to AT&T rep, they told me that they are working on putting up a new tower in our area that should help. It should be up by the end of July... we will see.

I have had problems in my neighborhood for nearly 6 months, even though AT&T customer service told me they "... . have no issues in this area.". I recently took a trip to Florida and had all bars on the 3G network the entire trip, from the swamps of Louisianna to remote areas of the Florida panhandle. As soon as we came back to west Houston, I watched the bars on the phone drop, one by one. Now, the best signal I have in the fourth largest city in the US is 2 bars on E. Nice. Will be shopping another carrier when contract is up.

Around mid May 2011 the AT&T cell reception dropped terribly. The service is horrible and will force a switch to Verizon.

Go get the 3G MicroCell Tower for your home. Ours works a hell of a lot better now! We were also told AT&T is working on 3 more towers in the area.

Terrible Network coverage. Either no service or 0 bar. Terrible customer services as well. They tell you "AT&T is not guaranteed services all the time". I will say AT&T never provides services in Katy area.

AT&T reception is terrible in this area. I'm researching the possibility of switching to Verizon. I'm not sure if reception will be better with Verizon or not.

We live right next to the AT&T cell tower and the whole family is having problems till we get out of the area and onto another tower. AT&T needs to fix whatever is wrong with the tower in our area. It has been like this for years.

We have 1 bar on ALL 4 four of our phones. We have dropped calls and it is very frustrating! What can I do to get someone to help resolve this problem?

I have had the 3G Air Bus Modem from ATT for the Past two years and it sucks. I have use it all over the US and reception sucks. Slower than Dial up of 56k even though it says 237 kbps. Would not recommend any Air Bus Modems for use in Laptop's.

I too have problems with calls dropping after 2 minutes. I am a Realtor and I have used my cell phone as my primary phone line for about 3 years. I had T-Mobile prior to me having to have an Iphone. After 9 months of AT&T, I can't take it anymore and would love to figure out how to get out of my contract based on lack of coverage in Katy. They drop about 30 % of the time and I can't take it anymore!

Service was "fair" until about 2 months ago. Now my phone jumps from % bars with 3G to nothing, and I get a lot of dropped calls and "network busy"! I've been on Cingular / AT&T for over 10 years, but our company is switching to Verizon (4,200 phones) because we're having similar complaints from our employees all over the USA. I think all of these providers have been making a fortune selling broadband devices but have not increased their wireless bandwidth to keep up with what they've sold. Several entities are considering a class-action suit against the 4 major wireless providers for overselling broadbant.

Just recently, can't do anything. No service, no internet, dropped calls. We recently cancelled our land line because after years with IPhones, it wasn't getting used. Within 1month of cancelling our land line, we now have horrible coverage. I don't want to leave AT&T but I have to have a phone. My hands are tied...

The worst cell reception that I have ever gotten. I have had Verizon and T-Mobile and both are head and shoulders over AT&T. All dropped calls or just horrible reception. Have not had one good call in 6 months! I HATE AT&T!

Network busy. Retry? Yes... call disconnected. Frustrated? Yes! New sim card. Does it help? For one hour. If I want to make a successful call I have to take out my battery, wiggle my sim card until it clicks, replace battery, power up and try again. 30 percent of the time the call will go through but never if I use my address book or quick call back button. I must dial the number. I am currently looking for a new service provider.

In the beginning it was great but in the past year or so the service has been terrible. Perhaps it could be blamed on my aging phone (I've had it the whole two years of my contract) but I lose at least a third or more of my calls. It seems like I lose reception almost randomly. At times it will be great, some days I have to call people back 3-4 times in a 15 min conversation. That is rediculous for the company with the "fewest dropped calls"! Half of the txt msgs I get come up blank! Phone calls are always getting cut short because I (or the person getting hung up on) get frustrated and give up on the phone for the day. I was in LA a year and a half ago and it was almost the same story. I got my phone a few months before the hurricanes hit and the service hasn't been the same since. I think a year is more than enough time to fix towers! After I moved here, the reception seemed to get worse. I dunno about cingular. I've been with Sprint and their customer service sucked bad enough to make me switch to Cingular and now they and their lies have me looking elswhere. Cingular sucks.

Great phone reception, but I cannot consistently connect to the high speed data network for my aircard. If I travel 2 miles East to CR Blvd.and Westheimer Pkwy, then all is good.

Cingular's great. Reception in Old Town Katy isn't as good as it should be, but still no problems. Reception in other parts of Katy is excellent.

Extremely poor reception. Must go outside to use phone. Sometimes voice mail and text messages don't come for 3 or 4 days after sent. Have tried 6 different Motorola, 2 Seimans, lost count of Nokias and even tried a couple of Sonys. My conclusion. All these phone cannot be crap. Must be carrier. Cingular.

Having no problems here in the tall pine trees in Pine Forest one block south of intersection stated above. Reception clean both indoors and out. Haven't really checked if I get 4 or 5 bars but signal is good and no problems to report at all. I think the phone itself may have something to do with it as I have had problems with Verizon and AT&T in the past. This phone is a Quad-Band so it gets both analog and digital and satellite and something else. I always had problems with digital signals but never had problems with the old analog. Just something to keep in mind.
