Switched to Cingular from T-Mobile (former Voicestream customer) about 4 yrs ago. T-Mobile switched my plans and then said they didn't. No reception on back roads between towns. Horrible customer service. Never a problem with Cingular. Always good reception in my house, on back roads, etc. Never a dropped call. Great customer service. Brought my number from Ft. Worth to Kerrville because Cingular doesn't have service here so am using roaming but don't have to pay with my plan and still get this great reception. Maybe it's my old phone a Nokia 3595 but after reading all the bad reviews, I'm afraid to switch to any other carrier even to get a local number and an upgrade.

I have no reception in my house and I travel alot for work in south texas and the only cell phone is AT&T that get service where I am. I cant even pick up roaming where I am but AT&T gets great service. fixing to switch

I drive a dump truck all over the area and Sprint seems to have the best reception in this area that I have found. I had Verizon before and it was aweful, barely any reception anywhere. My father has Five Star and it seems to be okay- maybe a close second behind Sprint. I have been loyal to Sprint for over 7 years but like others have said, it seems that since Sprint merged with Nextel the reception has gotten worse; like annoying echoes and dropped calls when the phone has plenty of good signal and not even a "signal faded" prompt. I would change carriers but I don't know if it would do me any good. Despite these problems I say Sprint may still be the best of the worst.

No problems with Sprint reception throughout the town. Can use in house frequently, if near window. Customer service extremely poor. Don't trust what they tell you as I have been lied to several times. So far, no billing issues unresolved, thankfully.

Sprint use to have excellent reception. But now that they have merged with nextel, the service has diminished drastically. I have dropped calls along highway 27 near the airport daily now. Center Point has always been an issue. Service has always been horrible. I work in Comfort and now that the Sprint-Nextel merger is complete I can no longer use my phone inside my building without dropouts. Srint use to always peg out my reception meter in Kerrville and Comfort. Now I am lucky is I get three bars. I will be looking for a new provider when my contract is up. And that is to bad because I really use to like sprint.
