Never get good reception. ATT Tech support is a joke. Will move on to another carrier. ATT just wants to keep trying resets. This does NOT fix drop calls, choppy audio, etc., and, the problem is NOT the phone.

Well yet again, we are in the 2 year bad phone service mode! It seams that within 2 months of the end of the contract, we start getting dropped calls, poor call quality, etc. We spend numerous hours with tech support, level 2, which they try updates, replacing SIM chips, etc. Still cannot make mobil to mobile calls! The funny thing is that this time, it does not matter if we call another mobile ATT, Verison, T Mobile, or other customer. We still have the same dropped calls, choppy audio, and most of the time, with full bars! I think that these carriers in general are placing so much focus on Internet / texting plans, that they forget that this hand held device is, after all, called a phone! If it cannot make clear calls, then, just tell people that phone calls are an option, and name the device something else! So very disapointed. Might try another carrier, but, not sure at this point if that would make it any better... Opps, forgot: reception is ok here (2 bars), three bars at NASA / JSC, and 2 bars in Pearland. In Alvin, we usually see at least 4 bars, but, still bad call quality.

I have a factory unlocked iPhone 3GS brought back from Italy. It is totally valid and undateable. My T-Mobile service is terrible at home. It fades in and out from 0-3 bars but mostly no reception. Totally not dependable phone. I have a new T-Mobile issued Motorola phone (Android 3G) which I can swap my sim card back and forth. The Motorola has 3-4 bars when the IPhone has no service. So it is diffntl the iPhone and not the tower or signal. So I have labeled the recption as "poor" for the iPhone but it should be "average" for the Motorola

We cannot use our cell phones in our house at all because 100% of the calls will drop. Even outdoors 90% of our calls drop. We would not have it at all except we have on-star and it uses Verizon. If Alltel ever comes to Texas, we will immediately drop our on-star and our Verizon cellular service. I have kept my Alltel service on one phone so we at least have one phone that is reliable.

I still have my Alltel phone service from when we moved from Virginia (thank goodness or we would have NO reliable phone service since Verizon Wireless is practically non-existent). I only drop about 5% of calls indoors and none outdoors. I wish Alltel would move their retail service to Virginia!

We have four phones (two different types) and 100% of our incoming calls indoors are dropped and we cannot make outgoing calls. Even in our yard 90-95% of our calls are dropped. We have brought our phones in over and over again and they play with them awhile and say they have solved the problem but they have not. We have one year left on our contract and are counting the day. I feel if Verizon would put a cell tower near Brittany Lakes / Brittany Bay it would pay for itself with new and repeat customers.

Since day one have had nothing but dropped calls, can't use from home and even get static calling mobile to mobile to spouse. Can't wait to get out of this contract. Was told by rep it was that they had few towers in this area... so why did you sell me 2 phones? But who to turn to?

West Main (FM 518) / I45, League City, TX 77573 Tue Jul 25, 2006

Have been a customer since 04 / 98 (When it was Houston Cellular.) All was well until the switch to GSM (I think it was about 2 years ago) Since then, the only time I have reliable service is when I travel to Lousianna. No dropped calls, no distored sound! But, here at home, and at my office, dropped calls, poor reception, etc. Over the past 2+Years, Cingular has tried New Phones, New SmartChips, and even tried to tell me that I just needed to leave my phone off for awhile so they could push an upgrade... . None of this work, and, at this point, unless I get a final magic fix from the level 3 engineer working the issue, I will have to move back to a LandLine! At least I never had these problems with it!

Reception is poor at South Shore Lakes apartments. Have to drive down 518 a little bit to get reception. Reception is good nearly everywhere else.
