Last night and this morning, sudden problem with "Signal Faded. Call lost." Have never had this problem before and this phone was purchased in March 2005. Not sure if this is a temporary problem, or if this is indicative of the end of this phone's lifespan. Will hate to lose this model, as it is simple and plain, and suits my needs perfectly. Hope this is just a fluke.

I get perfect reception at my house in Jonestown. I get dropped calls occasionally when I'm driving around Austin but not any worse than other carriers I've used. My Mom has ATT / Cingular. She got no reception here until after the merge. Now just a bar or two. But still when she is driving from Cedar Park to Jonestown and I happen to be talking to her she always says, "Well I'm fixing to go down the big hill so I'm going to get cut o... ... " I can talk all the way with no problem. I have never had any problems with T-Mobile customer service.

Have old Nokia 5165 with Cingular and as long as you're in "the city" and in civilized parts, reception ok. But (understandably) have a lot of problems calling while on the road in Liberty Hill TExas on hiway 29 back to customers between cedar park and Jonestown. When I call from Burnet texas back to home base in cedar park, reception is very spotty and almost non-existent but depends on weather, better when wind not blowing and how near you are to a cell-phone tower.

At home, my phone has no 3G reception 75% of the time; I've received txt messages 45 minutes after they were sent, and am often unable to send them at all. Other areas have better reception, but occasionally the AT&T network will completely disappear in areas that typically have good reception.

I rarely am able to complete a call without several dropped calls. After several attempts, Verizon has still not resolved the issue three weeks after the first report of the problem.

For the past two weeks, my phone has dropped 6-10 calls a day. Most of the time I get "System Busy." What is that? NEXTEL is know for it's more than fair share of dead spots, but anywhere and everywhere is a dead spot lately. Not sure who I will change over to after 7 years. Sounds like everyone's service sucks.

Good luck talking while in this area The GMS works well but you will have to switch networks thats one thing I do like about GMS it allows you to look for avalble networks and switch. It's like having all the phone companys on one phone no matter where your at. Good luck!

Have had my Treo 600 since March and am finally switching service providers. Continual problems with lost calls, static & buzzing during calls - it's always something. Used to have a Nokia and had lots of trouble with the AT&T TDMA with it in this area as well.

We live in Sandy Creek Ranches area, about halfway between Jonestown and Liberty Hill. We are in one of many DEAD zones in the area, with zero signal. A very accident prone section of Nameless Road, about 1 mile long, is a DEAD zone. When we inquire or complain to Verizon Wireless, they tell us "It's in an area our network doesn't reach and there's nothing we can do about it." Translation: Verizon Wireless is either incapable or unwilling to provide service. But they are perfectly happy to take our money every month.
