My fiance had T-Mobile and she got perfect service, all of the time. She got 5-6 bars regardless of whether she was inside the house or outside and she was also able to get 4G service consistently. From what I have observed with four (4) carriers in this area, 1) T-Mobile has the best and most reliable service (even accessible to 4G service in almost every local area), 2) Sprint comes in second place with the most bars and fewest dropped calls consistently, however you are not able to access 4G service, 3) Boost Mobile is third with about the same quality of service as Sprint, but it does lose service in more areas than Sprint and T-Mobile ("dead" spots in many areas, including the "maze" and some parts of Nichols Sawmill), 4) AT&T comes in fourth. AT&T should be the best and most reliable network, but in this area, it isn't worth your money. You will be lucky to get any bars at all, and if you do get service... you're more than likely going to be on "roaming" in almost every area that is discussed above (Nichols Sawmill @ Butera all the way to Nichols Sawmill @ Spring Drive). I would not recommend that anyone get AT&T and expect to be satisfied with the quality of service in this area.

I have Boost Mobile for my work phone and it works off of the Nextel towers. With Boost I consistently have 3-4 bars inside my home and 4 (max on this phone model) bars outside of my home. I have never dropped a call with Boost and have never had an issue with not being able to make and or recieve calls or Direct Connect (Walkie Talkie) service. I am pleased with the quality of service that Sprint Nextel and Boost offer in this area. However, if you go through the "maze" to get to FM 2920 or Hwy. 290 (through Turtle Creek, Doe Trail, Spencer Rd, Spencer Blvd, Sanders Rd. and Sanders Cemetery) you will lose almost all of your service or bars through some portions of this area. I don't understand why this is the case. Also, if you travel down Nichols Sawmill toward Roberts Cemetery (near Mike's Country Store - "Chevron") you will lose some, if not all of your signal, through certain portions of the area from Turtle Dove @ Nichols Sawmill all the way down Nichols Sawmill to Spring Dr.(where S.I.R.E. is located). This needs to be looked into by Sprint Nextel, Boost, and Virgin Mobil USA (all of which are owned and operated by the same parent company).

I have the HTC EVO 4G and I get 4-5 out of 6 bars inside my house and 5-6 bars when I'm outside my house. I have been in the area for about 4-5 months, and I have not had any issues with my service as far as dropped calls or poor reception. However, I do have a 4G phone and I can't get 4G service in this area at all through Sprint. Also, if you go down Nichols Sawmill toward Roberts Cemetery (near Mike's) you only get 1-2 bars if you're lucky. I guess it just depends on where you're located exactly and what kind of tree coverage you have around your house. If you live in this area you know that there are trees everywhere and a large number of mobile homes. Both of these factors will have an affect on your service, so take this into consideration when grading your wireless provider.

Cannot keep a signal for longer than 3-5 minutes. I'm outside quite a bit, and my phone does not work any better outside than inside. Many times my phone won't ring, and I'll have a voicemail without a missed call. Four people have phones here in this house, and no one can hold a call for more than 5 minutes. AT&T is not the least expensive provider and I do not have good reception. I really wish I knew what the best service was for this area. It would be nice to use the phone since we pay for it every month. These cell phone companies make a ton of money from people--and they don't even provide the service you're paying for. Thanks for the email, text messaging, apps, etc... but what about the phone reception?!?! If anyone has any suggestions for Lake Windcrest subdivision, please let me know. Thank you!

Since getting rid of our LG phones while living in Tomball, neither my husband nor I have ever had any problems with reception. With the LG phones, we constantly had dropped calls and no reception. We were ready to change providers, until we got Sony Eriksson W300i phones. I guess I dropped my phone one too many times and it died, but my husband has had his for three or so years. Now that it is about to die, we want to get new phones. Knowing that the cell phone itself has as much to do with reception as the provider, how does one find a phone that gets good reception?

Yeah! "More bars in more places" really means you'll stop at more bars in more places because you're not going to be talking on your ATT phone! There are three cell towers nearby and I can't get a signal in the house! If I go outside and brave the heat, humidity, and mosquitos I can often get a usable signal, but not always. I don't see how ATT can claim to have good signal reception in more places than the other carriers. I just haven't seen it.

AT&T sucks at my home (and I'm retired so almost always at home). Phone displays "E" for Edge and NEVER displays 3G at home. AT&T is aware of thie "Dead Zone" but expresses no likelyhood of any immediate improvement. When my contract expires in August, I'm switching to another carrier.

Switched from Verizon which had great service for the price of Sprint. I know where the tower is and can see it but I live about a half mile from it and can't get any service in my house my phone goes to roaming on Verizon. Outside 1-2 bars but it usually calls on roaming. I wouldn't suggest switching but it's not all that bad.

Reception is poor. However we just moved from Indiana where it was nil and Sprint refused to let us out of contract because their MAP showed that I should have good reception! Contract is now over and I am looking for a provider with good service in area.

Zero bars inside. 1-2 bars if I walk out side. I have complained until I am blue in the face. The service in my area is awful. They tell me I am only 2 miles for a tower and I should have no problems. Right. I travel all over North Houston and the Woodlands and have spotty service at best. I would recommend this service to anyone.

The route Nichols Sawmill / Sea Turtle Ln / Turtle Creek Ln / Doe Trails / Hickory Lane / Spencer Blvd. / Sanders Rd / Sanders Cemetary Rd / Mueschke ("the maze", as we call it) is one of the major routes from Magnolia to SH290 into Houston and the major alternative to SH249 from downtown Magnolia. With Magnolia set to explode in population in the next three years, one wonders why Nextel calls consistently drop out while traversing "the maze", especially around Doe Trails?

Every since Cingluar and AT&T merger my reception is 0 to 1 bar inside house and maybe 2 bars outside. Called Cingluar about 2 months after merge they said you need to go 2 blocks north to make call, am I suppose move my brick house to pickup a cell phone call or try different company?
