Had great reception in Louisiana. Moved to near The Woodlands 5 years ago. Since we have been here reception is very poor if not there at all. Have made complaints to AT&T. No help from them whatsoever. Will probably switch carriers once contract is up if not before then. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate them a -10.

Cannot keep a signal for longer than 3-5 minutes. I'm outside quite a bit, and my phone does not work any better outside than inside. Many times my phone won't ring, and I'll have a voicemail without a missed call. Four people have phones here in this house, and no one can hold a call for more than 5 minutes. AT&T is not the least expensive provider and I do not have good reception. I really wish I knew what the best service was for this area. It would be nice to use the phone since we pay for it every month. These cell phone companies make a ton of money from people--and they don't even provide the service you're paying for. Thanks for the email, text messaging, apps, etc... but what about the phone reception?!?! If anyone has any suggestions for Lake Windcrest subdivision, please let me know. Thank you!

Since getting rid of our LG phones while living in Tomball, neither my husband nor I have ever had any problems with reception. With the LG phones, we constantly had dropped calls and no reception. We were ready to change providers, until we got Sony Eriksson W300i phones. I guess I dropped my phone one too many times and it died, but my husband has had his for three or so years. Now that it is about to die, we want to get new phones. Knowing that the cell phone itself has as much to do with reception as the provider, how does one find a phone that gets good reception?

Yeah! "More bars in more places" really means you'll stop at more bars in more places because you're not going to be talking on your ATT phone! There are three cell towers nearby and I can't get a signal in the house! If I go outside and brave the heat, humidity, and mosquitos I can often get a usable signal, but not always. I don't see how ATT can claim to have good signal reception in more places than the other carriers. I just haven't seen it.

AT&T sucks at my home (and I'm retired so almost always at home). Phone displays "E" for Edge and NEVER displays 3G at home. AT&T is aware of thie "Dead Zone" but expresses no likelyhood of any immediate improvement. When my contract expires in August, I'm switching to another carrier.

Reception is terrible! Sometimes I get 4 bars, sometimes 0 bars. Needless to say, I can't reliably make or receive calls.

Every since Cingluar and AT&T merger my reception is 0 to 1 bar inside house and maybe 2 bars outside. Called Cingluar about 2 months after merge they said you need to go 2 blocks north to make call, am I suppose move my brick house to pickup a cell phone call or try different company?
