I wore out two Nokia 3589 tri modes and had to go to my LG tri mode. Haven't used it in East Texas so not sure how it will do.

I never have a dropped call. When I travel to east Texas I occasionally lose reception on the highway, but that is typical in rural areas.

Reception in this area is very erratic but mostly poor. I drop calls weekly driving around in 75181 and 75180 zip code areas. There is a buzzing noise that is often heard by the people I call even though I dont ever hear it. Also many times I cant hear the people on other end but they can hear me. ATT stinks in these zip codes.

Usually would drop calls in the Whiterock lake area and Northwest Hwy. and Buckner Area. Switched from ATT to Verizon, so far no probems with my reception in these areas, I also have better reception in Mesquite. Verizon is ranked highest in Consumer Reports in the major cities, so far so good!

I have had a Verizon plan for about a year now. I have only had maybe one or two dropped calls over the course of the year. Never had any problems making or receiving calls from any location. I can be way out in East Texas out on a lake and still use my phone. Great coverage, but pricey.
