Coverage around town very impressive for 1.9 ghz - guess they sell a lot of minutes to college kids... Works solid to Lufkin, but coverage around Lufkin could be better but works solid if you stay inside or on the loop. Once you get south of Dibol Verizon goes back to 800B so you may have a hard handoff or a call disconnect somewhere down there. Once the handoff is complete you'll enjoy solid coverage to Houston. Just don't drive east or west. You won't be happy! TX7, TX21, TX103, US69... doesn't matter. 'Fringe' coverage worked much better when Verizon offered roaming through Sprint. Sprint is on 800B in this area and had considerably more 'stable' signal because of it (remember, this is pine tree country!) When its all said and done, AT&T's 'main roads' coverage is better. Verizon will get you considerably more 'stand on the rail of your pickup truck out in the middle of the woods' coverage. Your mileage may vary.
