Reception is great. Not once have I had a dropped call. Even at times when there is one or no bars, reception is still great.

My house is just south of 15th and just east of W Plano Pkwy. I switched to Verizon because I got terrible reception, with frequent dropped calls, with Sprint PCS at my house. See separate review for details. With Verizon I have no problems. I usually get 4 bars at home, never less than 3, sometimes 5. Good reception in business areas too.

My in-laws live here but I live in New York City. Even after updating the roaming capabilities, I can only get reception on the second floor of the house. I can see that from the comments for other carriers, this area is just not well covered.

East Plano, Los Rios Area / Los Rios Blvd.@ FM 544, Plano, TX 75074 Mon Jun 06, 2005

Since we moved to this area of the metroplex, our cell signal is always poor at the house and we use only our cell phones—no land lines. We can drive a 1 / 2 mile and get great signal, just not at the house. And, Verizon is the dedicated carrier in Plano! One would think the signal coverage would be outstanding. It's so annoying to have calls dropped one after another. Thank goodness Verizon ran fiber in our front yard. Once that's operational, maybe the poor cell signal won't be as critical as downloading speed.
