I would not recommend Verizon to anyone, not because of there phone service, its fair to good in most area's, but its because they have a very poor attitude in there customer service department. I had there service for many many years past my 2 year contract period. I needed a new phone and they wouldn't give me one unless I signed up for a 2 year contract again. I told them no way, I've been a very good customer of yours for many years and there is no need for a contract, all I need is a cheap $20 phone, I told the lady that I guess you don't appreciate me as a valued customer so... .I have a decision to make, and I will choose to go elsewhere then. The lady told me that if I left Verizon to go to T-Mobile, that I would be back in no time flat, its been 5 years now and I never looked back and the funny thing is, they keep begging me to sign up with them again. Ha, Ha, Ha... Big Corporations Like Verizon Couldn't Care Less About What We Need...

Horrible reception. I've been battling this with AllTel / Verizon for months now.

Our reception here is generally one bar but goes down to no reception on occasion. Needless to say we are not impressed and will be switching to either T-Mobile or Verizon.

Sprint's coverage map shows this as a good reception area (dark green). However, after all software upgrades have been installed, I seldom have more than 1 bar and calls drop frequently. Sprint has so far not acknowledged the problem. They point to their coverage map as proof of good coverage. If Sprint won't agree to void my contract, I will pay Sprint's early termination fee and move to another carrier.
