Seriously, it take over 5 MINUTES for a web page to even load, and over half of the time it will not work.. SPRINT SERVICE lately just keeps getting worse and worse. I'm not sure what is going on but I hope they get it together before they lose a customer that has been there now for 11 years!

Terrible, I'm fed up with Sprint and their service. I roam in town, internet connections suck and I can barely hear people on the other end. Customer service is very poor and they just tell you your under contract oh well! T-Mobile may get my business because they pay ETF!

Usually get my calls. Data rate sucks. Got Verizon for my hotspot and it works great, I even connect with it and make phone calls where AT&T does not work!

I cannot get reception in my house. I live on the edge of the city. If it were not for wifi connectivity I would have no phone service at all. In parts of the city I get decent service.

Sprint

1 Out of 5 (1 star) | Near Angelo State | Nasworthy Dr., San Angelo, TX 76904 |

Sprint customer for many years because they offered my company best rates. With Sprint, low rates=low quality. Reception at work downtown is good most of the time (but not always); reception at home near Angelo State is poor almost all the time. It is hassle to switch, but that definitely is in the cards when current contract expires. Sprint appears to be another big company with big promises, no conscience, mediocre performance.

Seemed like below average reception when I moved in but now borderlines on no reception with frequent missed calls. Sprint gave me Airvana which works great with the internet connection through Suddenlink. I was hoping it would be the other way where I could use the phone a little for the web. 3G is mostly poor throughout San Angelo. Hello Verizon, wait for me until this contract is done.

Very good signal. Never have had any dropped calls. LTE (4G) is really fast. Very reliable service. The only con is the price which can be expensive. Calls can be made even with one bar of signal strength. Very impressed with the performance of the network.

My work phone is at&t. when I first got this phone a year ago there was very little coverage at the airport where I work 1-2 bars and edge if I was lucky. All of a sudden a few months ago I had 5 bars and 3G everywhere on the airport! My personal phone is a Sprint iphone and its coverage sucks. 1 bar and very little data anywhere on the airport.

I work at Mathis field and the reception is terrible on my iphone. The coverage map shows that I should have good signal in this area but I usually have one bar of cell and never have 3G. My work phone is with at&t. It has 5 bars of signal and 3G all the time even inside buildings. Unless service is improved I will be leaving Sprint when my contract is over.

Not good for 3G data. Switched to Verizon data Aug-2012 and Verizon works great (for 4G-LTE) Had been using device to transmit data and Sprint service would fluctuate from OK to usually poor. I don't live in San Angelo but have been traveling there for a couple of months. I have a Sprint Mifi that is pretty bad although it has its moments where it is decent. Sprint's coverage map for 3G shows that I should have good coverage. I sometimes work at Goodfellow AFB and transmit data from there and Sprint was not good. I have had Verizon for a couple of weeks and it is great. I would guess it averages about 4MBs down and like 1.5 up. I am a computer person who does not need super fast speed for multimedia but need good decent speed for transmitting 100MB files. Anything over 100KB (kilobits) is fine but Sprint would sometimes slow down to a trickle. Co-worker who is not technical would complain about using company website (on Sprint) and he could not connect easily. With Verizon service no problems.

Very good 4G-LTE data service. I don't have phone service just 4G data service with a USB device. This service will be good for any device that uses 4G-LTE. I have not tried out 3G service yet. Coverage has been decent since I signed up for service in January. Was a little upset that service was nonexistent in Ballinger despite claims otherwise. This changed about a month ago and I am actually able to make phone calls and use my GPS when visiting relatives. Just noticed earlier this week that I now have 4G signal. Since then, service has been stellar.

Spoke to a Verizon rep recently who stated San Angelo should be getting 4G very soon. It could possible be mid to late June. He gave me an exact date but I dont want to go out on a limb. I hope this is true. My cell service has been really good for a really long time. I would like now to see the 4G in action. I was traveling through Midland, TX recently and picked up 4G and it was blazing fast.

Verizon's 3g network is just too slow for videos. They need to hurry up and turn on LTE in a town of nearly 100,000 people. Smaller towns across the nation are getting 4g before us which does not make any sense. They are dragging their feet in their rollout in this part of Texas. Other big towns such as Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland / Odessa, and Abilene also do not have 4g. So... Hurry up Verizon!

The network is really good, but not excellent as far as overall signal strength. I have never had any drop calls anywhere in town, even in areas with only one bar. No problems sending and receiving text messages. If you want a better picture regarding signal strength, check out the "Rootmetrics" website. You can get an idea on signal strength and coverage using real-world data. Overall, verizon's network is extremely hard to beat. Network should be upgraded to LTE sometime in the near future, so data speeds should improve drastically.

Verizon owns Alltel's network in this area. I have never had any problems with Verizon anywhere in town. Very strong signal in most parts of town. No dropped calls ever. Coverage of Grape Creek has improved.
