My wife and I have different model phones - mine is a Blackberry 8700c and hers a Motorola flip phone. Cingular service here is terrible. I'm trying to find out which carrier would have superior coverage in the NE area at Stahl and Rocky Creek. For the first year the coverage was acceptable but for the last 4 months - forget it! They keep telling us the coverage is good but we know it isn't. Something had to change and they won't even look into it.

I've used Sprint since the summer of 1995. I've never had issues with Sprint's network. I can't rememeber the last time I've had a dropped call. I travel all over Texas and don't have any complains. My brother uses and works for Cingular, mother uses T-Mobile and father uses Verizon for work, and all of them constantly complain about their service or customer service.

Everytime I try to make a call, the call never goes through and it says "network busy" or "error in connection." When I finally get the call to go through and I'm talking to someone, the call drops. This happens about 90% of the time I try to make a call or I am on the phone. Cingular has sent 2 replacement phones and they both did the same thing. Now they are sending me a different type of phone which I doubt will make a difference, but let's see.

I had a lot of dropped calls with Cingular until my daughter (who had the same Motorola as us) switched to a Nokia and the problems cleared up. Ours did the same, and now I'm happy because it was the phone and not Cingular that was the issue. Reception is overall good; I do have an occasional difficulty in Ft Sam Houston buildings, but otherwise the calls can be clearly heard, little / no static when it does occur. Bottom line: Motorola phones suck, Nokia rules! Cingular service is great.

I wish that the stone oak HOA would allow a cell tower to be built on this hallowed ground, most all reception problems in the area would vanish - don't blame the carrier until you find out the neighborhood restrictions (shavano park and castle hills are no better)

Very poor reception in my house, and generally throughout my neighborhood. Service drops in and out while I am at home. Oddly though, there are times when I get 5 full bars, and 10 minutes later, nothing at all. Sprint could do much better here!

I've had T-Mobile for about 3 years, both in Florida and now in San Antonio. The Coverage is great, have probaly got 4 dropped calls within the three years. The only bad thing is there phone selection and their broadband speed. I'm thinking about switching to Sprint because of their fast broadband speed and their PDA's, but now i'm scared to switch my service. I'm probaly going to stick with T-Mobile and use Sprint for their broadband card.

I have been with T Mobile for 5 years and I have never been able to maintain a call without loosing the call. I keep giving them the opportunity to improve coverage; but was told yesterday that they have no plans to improve my area for the next few years. I have been able to use my phone in europe and in egypt! Which is amazing. But I am not there most of the time!

I love my Sprint phone. Occassionally it drops but only in areas where there's high cliffs. Cell service is exceptional! I was even able to use it in Peru! Imagine that.

I have had Sprint a little over 2 yrs and they suck. I will have quite a few dropped calls, and since my contract was up and I saw I had an outrageous bill I called customer service. Their service is terrible everyone was rude. Someone there changed my plan without my consent, which made me charge more on my acct, the rep told me I could get a free phone but never told me it would add another line which will renew a 2yr contract so now if I cancel I have to pay a 200 dollar early term agreement. I have complained to them and got nothing but rude service from the customer service dept and supervisors. SPRINT SUCKS!

While using a Motorola V360 or a Nokia 6103 Cell Phone I can expect to get plenty of drop calls guaranted the only thing is I don't know the time it will happen. Since i've had the service with T-Mobile I have tryed several different phones Motorola / Samsung / Nokia and own two but I still get the same Poor Reception / Drop Calls / Droped Words,Words that are Cut Off while talking. I believe T-Mobile needs to upgrade there towers or install more of them around San Antonio Area Very Unsatisfyed Customer, 78228

Went from a Cingular bag phone (3 watts of magnificent analog power!) and two Verizon phones to a Cingular family plan. It took three visits to make the change. The bill looks like three separate single accounts instead of one family plan. The GSM (I assume) is a buttload of echo and / or delay, and enough distortion so that I have to ask who is calling when my VSOP rings up. The phone has no good shortcuts and you have to follow a long menu trail to do the most common and trivial things - do the programmers actually USE these things before inflicting them on the paying public? Could be a great phone, but jeeez, is outsourcing to the lowest bidder always the best option??
