I switched from Nextel to T-Mobile about a year ago. With Nextel, I never knew what a dropped call was (it just never happened). Now, with T-Mobile, I get constant dropped calls. T-Mobile customer service blames it on Motorola (saying that frequent dropped calls is a "known issue" with the V-600), but in looking at other reviews on this website, I see that many T-Mobile customers are complaining about dropped calls and it doesn't appear to matter what kind of phone they have.

I cannot keep a signal inside my house. I muser run down my street to attempt to keep a signal. I used Sprint before this and Sprint was fantastic. Cingular refuses to officially help me. Service is POOR!

Good reception with Sprint here, usually two bar inside the apartments, 3 to 4 bars when outside. The Sprint network itself has been reliable, however, the same cannot be said for Sprint customer service on the phone OR when you venture into one of the local Sprint stores. When recently upgrading my phones, a ran into the usual incompetence at my nearby Sprint store. Finding competent employees here in San Antonio is always a challenge, especially given the slow-wittedness of the predominant population here, but the twit who programmed my phones managed to not program the second phone and place me on the wrong plan. And after spending nearly $600 she didn't even thank me. Instead, I had to call Sprint to learn how to program my second phone and then correct my calling plan. I had to call three times before I spoke to someone who spoke clear English and could understand how to resolve my problem. Customer disservice seems to be Sprint's forte and it is sad that one has to pay close attention to ensure everything is done correctly. Imagine the thousands who blindly trust Sprint PCS reps both in-store and on the phone... customers who must be getting overcharged grossly! For use in and around San Antonio, Sprint works relatively well. But be warned, educate yourself before you rely on store staff and double-check their work BEFORE you leave the store. Know your plan and the options you're choosing. These employees seem to be educated to do one thing: sell you the most services at the highest prices and get you out of the store as quickly as possible. And here, in San Antonio, the indigenous dimwits will do just that!

I have T-Mobile. The reception near Stone Oak / Hardy Oak intersection is bad. Frequent dropped calls there. In the neighborhood near Hardy Oak Elementary, the reception is very bad. I can't have a conversation on my cell phone, and must use a land line, unless I'm standing in just the right location.

Actually, I always get lots of reception bars, but also lots of dropped calls. My old Sprint PCS service almost never dropped calls from the same location (interior of my home).

This is one place where you can expect to drop a call, especially the farther down outside of Potranco you go. There is one place in particular that is after the first set of flashing lights, right down that hill it is guaranteed to drop your call.

This is a low reception area due to the fact that it is a low spot, most signal drops are around Stone Oak between Hardy Oak, and Evan's Rd.

$300 phone that tells me "Emergency Calls Only". At home Perrin-Beitel and 410, bad reception unless outside. McCullough & Dewey or Cypress or Evergreen, really bad reception, walkingin circles in parking lot to keep signal, intermitent. Seaworld area, 5 bars, "Network Busy" when tryin to make calls, turn phone off on try again, same thing. Then drops tower totally, reconnects 5bars and works fine. Same thing 35s close to 1604. Start call at Bandera & Eckhert get to Bandera & Wurzbach bars are down to one or nothing, drops call goes up to 5 bars. This happens in more than one spot.

Its worse than the old style antenna's that used to be around. In CERTAIN areas of the house I get reception. The rest of the house I don't. Even when I DO get reception, dropped calls continue to happen.
