Cricket service works great in and around town, but once you get over near craddock and RR12, there is no service.

We usually get about 2 bars of reception at our house in San Marcos. There are NO towers in our area off Lime Kiln and Hilliard. We have to stand outside and face West to get anything. Then usually if you make the slightest move in another direction, you loose reception altogether. The other end of the conversation can't hear you at all.

I am at the end of N. Bishop in the new subdivision and I consistantly have to walk around outside to find decent reception. This neighborhood is rapidly growing, Verizon should really get to work on this problem. Verizon seems to have decent reception around the rest of san marcos.

I live at Craddock and North LBJ in an apartment, and the only phones that work consistenly are Verizon. Friends come over all the time with various carriers, and all of the ones with T-Mobile, Nextel, or Sprint never get any service. They're out standing on the backs of their cars trying to make calls. Verizon and Cingular are the only viable choice for someone living around here.
