I have tried all the carriers and have found that the only reliable one is Verizon. They keep their signals whether I'm outside or in a store like Wal-Mart or H-E-B unlike Cingular or T-mobile, whoms signals drop almost completely once inside. Not to mention Verizon has wonderful customer service and if your phone is analog capable, you have the luxury of switching your signal to a stronger one that may be available just in case you do run into the rare scenario of having a weak or no signal on Verizon's network. All in all I travel frequently to New Braunfels, San Marcos, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Mexico and I have never had a problem with Verizon. In fact, on one of my most recent trips to Mexico there was a very noticeable change in the reception out on 55 I think is the highway. I hadn't been out that way in a year and when I went it was superb. I had previously called and complained about that area so you never know, your individual concern might actually mean something to them.
