4G coverage is non-existent.Was this review helpful to you?
Have to go outside to make or receive a call. Data download so slow as to be non-existent. Pretty much have to go to Rockwall to get an internet signal. Per Verizon, I'm in a 4G area - NOT!Was this review helpful to you?
Single bar reception doesn't improve even though one goes outside the building. Will have to decide to move or change carrier. Was this review helpful to you?
Don't let Verizon fool you. There is absolutly no reception in the Post Oak Bend, Texas area. You'd think you live in Petticoat Junction. This is 2012. Also no cable is available. Was this review helpful to you?
Very bad phone reception. Sometimes it works outside. Text messages are ok.Was this review helpful to you?
Inside mostly no reception as you get Closer to a Window 2-4 barsWas this review helpful to you?
Since AT&T bought out Cingular again my reception went from 4 to 1-1.5 bars I staed with ATT 3G network hoping to gain at least 2 bars and they still failedWas this review helpful to you?
Verizon Wireless has excellent reception starting west of downtown Terrell, extending further west to the outer city limits. However, from downtown Terrell going east, service is horrible. One bar, maybe two at best. And the Griffith Ave corridor is not much better. During this time, calls are dropped. If not, they are irritably choppy. Unless Verizon invests in tower upgrades in Terrell, I would not recommend their service until that time. Was this review helpful to you?
Here in Terrell, reception with Cingular cannot be beat! No dropped calls, no delays in making calls, and I've been satisfied 100%, so far. I've researched the tower maps for wireless providers and it shows a Cingular tower on Hwy 34 North, just outside the city limits. But I believe Cingular has agreements with other carriers to provide service without incurring roaming charges, I'm sure like other providers. So if anyone is in Terrell and their phone says "Cingular Extend," it's probably because the phone was tucked away in a purse or in a pant pocket. However, with AT&T, a previous provider I had at one time, there's only on tower in town, located near W Moore & Bradshaw. Sitting inside of a home on Meredith or Town North, one signal bar at best, which means very choppy conversation if it's not already a dropped call. Very little reception (one bar) in Elmo, approx 6 miles east of Terrell. In Poetry, north of Terrell, going out FM 1565 from FM 986 toward Royse City, very little reception (Extended Area or Roam), even though we're not billed for it. In summary, Cingular has much better coverage than AT&T in the Terrell area & surrounding rural communities. Of course, weather and atmospeheric conditions play part in the quality of reception, as well. Was this review helpful to you?
