I hardly ever drop calls... I even make calls in the boonies and inside elevator! I LOVE ALLTEL,

Constantly loosing service on my phone, 3rd model I've had. Alltel says that it's my phone, yet I've spoke to others who have the same problems. I get dropped calls at least every 2nd or 3rd call. I cannot use the phone in certain areas of my house, and even outside only 2 bars.

I can't use my phone in the house at all and I live in the middle of the city. I was much happier with Cingular, but I don't know how it's changed since they were bought, all I know is Altell has been a major disappointment.

Sam's Club has been a dead spot for years. I've had Alltel, Cingular and now Verizon and I had to go to the front door to make a call. Even the little booth that sells cell phones had to be moved to the front of the store to enable activation of new phones. Sam's Club = metal building = no RF penetration.

We've used Alltel for over a year. The reception is great all the time. Husband went on a trip and our reception on our phones was clear as a bell. My son has AT&T... terrible reception, dropped calls, etc.

AT&T is definitely the best in Tyler.

Used ATT for years. It worked great when we lived in north Texas and works great here all over east TX. Tried Verizon for a month and it worked great here in Tyler, but from my son's home in Nacogdoches Verizon would not get good reception when we traveled outside of the loop there. At this date after all my research I have to say go with ATT. I think in the next 2 years Veroizon will make leaps and bounds, but in the smaller communities, at this time, ATT is better. We live near Swan lake.

AT&T is a joke. I wouldn't even waste my time trying them out. Just switched to Verizon and love it.

I have no problems with either my phone service or my Wireless air card. At first I would get dropped calls when I moved here up at Broadway and the Loop - but it's much better than the nightmare's I hear about Altell if you leave the city limits. And we use them for work - and do lose service anytime there's trees around. Trees in East Texas. Geeze. But I always have my cell on me - so I just want to know more about Metro PCS and when they're coming. I know they have limited calling range - but I don't call anyone in Peoria - I just really dig their prices. AT&T is KILLING me. I loved Cingular - then the EVIL EMPIRE moved in and will be my mistress until the end of the year. And as much as I love talking to everyone for "FREE" Is it really? My bill is so much higher than everyone elses. So it really isn't free. I called to complain and was told it was because they had so much more to offer. Hmph. So then I called my credit card company and let them have it because my darn interest rate was so high. I just got on a real roll. Down with taxes - interest rates - corporate greed - and the new ma bell and people who don't like puppies or babies... and the war in Iraq. Up with our US soldiers and taxation of the wealthiest people in US and give middle class folk a break. C'mon George Bush do something good before you leave the mansion - give us all free cell phones and make the rich people pay for them. And don't skimp. I want the works - texting -a media package and dammit I want my mobile MTV!

Reception is constantly in and out.

Cingular has been horrible in a vast number of places all over the county, but especially west of the loop on 64. Even as little as 2 miles outside the loop coverage goes to crap. I switched from Alltel but it was a mistake I now know.

I've used ATT and Cingular for years. I travel all over East Texas, rural areas and cities, and they have never let me down. I can't remember a time that there was no service or that a call was dropped. Even with my sucky phone I can make or receive calls with no problem.

I used to get 4 bars inside my house, and now get nothing. Called Cingular and they had to remove some antennas from some Tyler water towers because the city is repainting the towers. May last 3 months, they said. HUGE problem, because I am on-call for work, and now don't get calls when at home! If you have to be on call, check with Cingular about this before you sign on!

i get near perfect reception where ever I go in tyler. the reception depends on the strength of the antenna you phone has. previous phone was a Samsung and the reception was terrible. I was lucky to get one bar at work, now with the Nokia I get all of my bars at work.

No reception dead no bars with Cingular at my parents house or on the lake from the 155 bridge to the Villages. My brother has Verizon and he had full bars at my parents and on the lake.

I get 2 bars outside but no reception inside

As far as I know, only Verizon gets service inside the Skateplex.

Drops calls constantly no matter where I am in Tyler or when I am driving between Tyler and Texarkana. I loved Sprint in Florida, but here in Texas, It SUCKS!

This is truly a dead zone. My phone calls are always dropped when I drive down S. Broadway. I hate Sprint service. They are constantly dropping my calls. It seems like everywhere I drive the call is dropped. What a nightmare. I can't wait until my contract is over and I can switch carriers.
