I had 3G service up until around 11:30 this afternoon, then dead. I barely had an edge connection. Nothing would update and I couldn't use Google Voice to text or call. WTF T-mobile? Is anyone else having this issue? I put my SIM into my old Blackberry 8900 and I couldn't do a thing on it.

No 3G coverage at all (actually it's barely even Edge, I get the Super Low Quality connection icon that's *worse* than Edge). Calls drop constantly. Coverage bars bounce between 4 and 0 while I'm standing in one place. For the short couple of minutes incoming calls stay connected, audio can be choppy.

USU Performance Hall, Logan, UT 84321 Tue Nov 24, 2009

This building is the only place I know of in Logan where I do not get reception in Cache Valley (other than a few miles up in the canyons). I work in the performance hall and I know of no other provider that has reception here through the 16 inch thick concrete walls. There are only a few spots in the actual hall itself that can get a signal strong enough for a call, but it is possible.

Advertised as wortking in my area, which is untrue. I spent $235 in roaming charges and fees over an almost 3 month period with the assurance that the phone would work without Roaming on my plan. Cricket support had me change settings, update PRLs, change PRLs manually, change my number to a new local #, change my billing address. None worked. I was very happy with them in Ohio, but I am furious about how they have treated me here in Logan.

I have Verizon and it SUCKS! I hate it! For every 5 minutes I am on the phone I will drop the call.. I lived on campus last year at utah state and did not have as many problems, but down here in the black hole it sucks! I am switching to T-Mobile so I hope its better..

When you are at the bottom of the hill below utah state, the reception can be a little weak, but I have been throughout the cache valley with my all-digital phone, and have very rarely had dropped calls, I even got reception on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, one of the most remote areas in the nation. I have been with Verizon for many years, and even though the analog network is being dismantled in 2008, they are constatly updating the network, and we now have EV-DO which is a boon for me

Cingular or AT&T or whatever sucks it keeps getting worse I am on the 3rd phone in one year and the reception is still spotty it goes from no bars to full bars and back to zero especially anywhere close to center street and main east or west side. It constantly drops calls anywhere in the valley. Don't sign a contract with this crappy service non-provider

T-Mobile has very good reception throughout Cache Valley. Even in Sardine Canyon along Hwy. 89 / 91 between Brigham City and Logan I have at least 4 bars, usually 5, the entire way. Coverage is also very good on campus. Granted, there are a few places -- like in the basement of Old Main -- where I don't have service, but other than that I am very satisfied with the coverage. I dropped maybe two or three calls during the year, which is not too bad considering how many calls I made. It was no big deal, though. I just called the person back and it worked fine that time. I called Customer Service afterwards and they apologized and gave me 50 bonus minutes. In addition to the coverage, I am also generally satisfied with my T-Mobile plan. I have 1500 minutes, 400 text messages, and 400 picture messages all for $45 per month + tax. The only plan that is even comparable to this in terms of price / features / value would be Sprint's SERO plan. Other than that, T-Mobile blows other carrier's plans out of the water. I definitely recommend T-Mobile. You get a good value for your money: They have excellent customer service, nice phones, very good plans with plenty of minutes, and very good coverage. They also offer 1-year contracts. WARNING! PLEASE ABSOLUTELY AVOID AT&T / CINGULAR! Apart from their high prices and poor service, they have terrible coverage at Utah State! With T-Mobile, I had 6 of 6 bars in my apartment on campus and I could talk anywhere, while friends with Cingular had only 1 bar and couldn't even place or receive calls inside without standing against the windows or leaving the building.

This is the worst service ever. STAY AWAY. I am switching to T-Mobile and paying to get out of my contract with this terrible. I am never able to complete a call on this network. Drops calls left and right.

I've been with T-Mobile for years and would never switch to anything else. I have had a great experience with this company. Most carriers in Cache Valley seem to be decent. The only complaint I hear is from people I know with Cingular.

I worked for Radio Shack selling Verizon and Sprint phones everyday. Naturally, I dealt with customer complaints and problems. One thing I noted was people's satisfaction with Verizon coverage. I had numerous complaints about Sprint, Cingular, and mostly T-Mobile. Never about Verizon, though! At least not in the Cache Valley! If you want reliable coverage, Verizon is the BEST!

In the open air there are no problems since it's located on the top of the hill. Inside some of the buildings, however, the reception might decrease dramatically, especially when taking the stares or walking along the corridors.

Not many bars, but I have noticed that especially with this phone the number of bars, doesn't really play a huge part in the clarity of the call. Good reception.

I got the Samsung droid charge and have been unhappy with the reception I get in logan, utah. I usually only have 1 bar, occasionally I will see a few bars and actually get 3g. I called Verizon and they told me the tower is down but if that is whats up it has been down for 3 months now. I hope we see an improvement soon. if not I am going to be done with Verizon

This is the best provider in the area. I can say this because of friends and family that have Sprint, Alltell, T-mobile, and AT&T. I consistantly have better service than all of them not to mention if we travel anywhere. I'm the last to lost service and the first to get it back.
