I get wonderful coverage throughout my area with Alltel. Recently they acquired CellOne here in the lower half of Utah. So I ported my number from Sprint to Alltel. Running both phones around town I get fair coverage with Sprint, but up on Turtle Rd.(Red Hill / Snow Canyon Parkway) my Sprint fades away but my Alltel still stays strong mostly due to a tower right above the Stadium 8 theatres. By the way the Sprint towers are located right along the I-15 corridor and on Utah Hill so the Black Hill casts a coverage shadow up on where Sunset Blvd.and Bluff intersect.

Wouldn't even work. I had to use a different phone just to call AT&T to switch back to my way old Nokia phone and it did pick up two bars, but you could barely use it, and would pray that your call wouldn't be dropped.

Haven't had any problems with service in St. George or the surrounding areas toward Hurricane. In driving into Arizona on I-15, I kept service with AT&T while my uncle who has Verizon lost service for most of the time. Love AT&T!

I just spotted a New Cingular Tower out by the new ball park and The intermediate school off of Rachel drive. Oddly enough I was getting a -40 near this tower on my KX-16 and I have Alltel. The equipment has the Cingular logo on it. Why would I get good service from a GSM tower when I have CDMA?

What's up here? I couldn't get ANY reception at friends house (about 2 miles west / southwest of Sunset and Bluff intersection), het now that I am driving southbound towards the freeway heading back towards the Virgin River gorge area, I get a strong signal. Isn't Cingular supposed to be the "biggie" company? Had GREAT reception in Vegas and Mesquite, NV, but NOTHING here on the west side of St. George. Wouldn't you think that adding a cell tower to this fast-growing area would have occurred to somebody by now????

constant disconnect in my townhome / condo, but if I go up on the street I get at least 3 bars. Even if I'm upstairs I only get 2 bars at best. Spring cannot do anything to help me out with this unfortunate situation. Wish I knew how to get a better signal, I'm searching for a fix. Alltell was great -- the then takover / buyout from AT&T was horrible. But now it's horrible again.

Parts of Sunset have great coverage but as you get up close to the Stadium 8 Theatres your phone service drops out a lot. They have placed their towers in a poor location up there and so if you live in Green Valley expect a lot of dropped calls from Sprint during the day especially as you get further down Valley View Drive. Service will vary from two to three bars to none. Then it will jump back in again.

I have had several different phones over the past few years and for some reason this little Kyocera phone dropped less calls than my Sanyo 5150 and Sanyo 8100 phones combined.
