I am particularly mad about my reception. Within the ATT contract it states that if I move out of the coverage area I can cancel. Well I haven't moved, I signed a contract only to find out that my neighborhood has the worst reception ever. No actually, I can truly say that AT MY HOUSE (the place where I am most) I get 0 reception. I tried canceling the contract, but the bastards just tell me that I have four bars when I call them to complain. ATT, you are Sh*t.
I used to get fantastic reception at home, and at school. But Now I am lucky to get one bar next to a window. One friend has the exact phone model and carier and gets more bars than I do when our phones are right next to eachother. My phone has recieved no damage, but I can't make any calls. The battery gets drained because it is always searching for a signal.
I get great reception here. once in a GREAT while a call is dropped. Some of the people I talk with on the phone say the reception is muffled. This could be their phone model though, because not all of the people I call say this happens. but all around... I have had no problems with At&t. and I travel extensively.
I am a real estate agent in SLC and I have a BlackBerry curve with Verizon that is very spotty. it will show 4 bars of reception and not connect for calls. all over the valley is moderate, but at my home in holladay I get 4 bars standing outside, and go to extended network in my house with NO DATA! Verizon needs to update their technology considering not everyone is always outside.
I Live in the Harvard-Yale area of Salt Lake and work downtown in the Key Bank building, and I get very good service at work, and at home. However, no 3G in SLC from T-Mo... EDGE works okay for now...
Sprint is awful in this neighborhood. I am lucky if I get one bar a month. When I do actually get reception, the call will drop within minutes. If you live in this area, go with another carrier.
