4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | Downtown | 400 N 600 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 |

I have always had Verizon and Sprint. Recently decided I did not wan to pay so much for a phone so I down graded to Metro PCS. I was very skeptical about their service but I've had this service for one month and it works great!

reception is up and down, dropped calls occasionally, usually after a long time... with signal booster in house, calls still vary in signal strength and reliability... not bad, but not great either... .the science of cell phones is far from perfect anywhere you go... . radio signals are what they are, subject to interruption from time to time and the towers used are not that powerful conduits after all.

Sprint

Had excellent Sprint 4g LTE until December 1st. Now I'm getting a mix of 3g and 4g. 90% 3g and if I update my PRL 3x a day I might get lucky and see a bar of 4g LTE. Scrooge is back!

Just did a speed test and got 33.46 down with almost 20 up! ! I think they're deploying wideband LTE here! Test was done in West Jordan. Zip code wouldn't work on site

AT&T

0 Out of 5 (0 stars) | 200 S | Main St., Salt Lake City, UT 84102 |

There is a dead zone in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Every morning I drive westbound into downtown on 200 S. If I am on a call, as soon as I hit Main Street, the call drops. Same thing if I'm going Eastbound on the way home. My call will drop as I cross 2nd West. If I try to start a call within that zone, I get fast busy, or nothing at all. At least it is consistent, so I have that going for me. Not sure how anyone downtown is able to do business with this deadzone. I have always assumed it is because of the building density, but paranoid me wonders if there is some kind of Mormon force field set up in that area. lol

AT&T

4 Out of 5 (4 stars) | 3500 S Redwood Rd., Salt Lake City, UT 84119 |

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I have had ATT for so long that I even went through name changes with them. I think it has been since 1998. up util recently I never thought about changing. 2 reason I'm considering change, 1) no unlimited data offered 2) horrible reception by my work (2100 s bangerter). but in the past few days I've asked around and now read this page and decided to stay with ATT. i'll pay extra for more data then deal with horrible reception. maybe one day Sprint CEO's will cough up money for more towers to gain more customers.

Above Wasatch Blvd. With a clear view of the entire valley and I can't even get one bar. Sprint has never fulfilled thier promise of better service. I am leaving them and taking all of my company's business to another carrier.

I've been sent on a wild goose chase. I don't blame the customer service people I have spoken with. This is clearly a service problem that Sprint as a company is unwilling to admit to. You've supposedly upgraded service in my area. Supposedly I would experience fewer dropped calls and better connection speeds. Supposedly any problems we've been having are the fault of our handsets. None of this is true. Your service has been a joke since November / December of 2013. I've never experienced so many missed / dropped calls. I was trying to take a customer service survey today via text message about my visit to the Sprint store on Saturday. I couldn't even send a one character text message to you. I tried five different times and I'm told my text cannot be delivered. These same problems have been very persistent over the past 5-6 months. I was patient because I understand it takes time to implement upgrades, but now I'm really upset because you (Sprint) are telling me the upgrades were finished in December of last year, and my problems are handset related. This is simply not true. I went to a Sprint store where they told me my phone was not experiencing dropped calls or issues with the network. I then went to an apple store where they pulled directly from my phone all of the dropped calls I have been experiencing. Much more accurate, but further diagnostics at the apple store tell me my phone is working perfectly normal, which I believe because it has been. The only variable in the equation is sprint's "service upgrade". Prior to it, my phone worked great! After, I can't use it. Battery diagnostics at the apple store say my phone is in the green, meaning good, which I believe because prior to sprints service upgrade it would last me two days before recharging. Now I'm lucky if it lasts me 4 hours. It's trying its hardest to connect to Sprint through extended networks at 1x speeds. I don't think I've had true 3G service in a few months. Of course anyone who knows anything about cell service knows that it takes much more energy for a cell phone to function this way. I have spotify and it is always "offline" because it can't connect through sprints network, Only on wifi. I try to make phone calls and it acts like its dialing for a minute then it says the call failed. My wife tries to call me and it says, "this cricket customer cannot be reached". Seriously, if it was my handset, why would Cricket be involved? And if I were the only one having problems that would be alright but it's not just me. My wife has been experiencing similar issues on her phone since she started with Sprint in November 2013. If you were in my shoes, paying full price for a service that only works half the time at best, you would be upset too. Then, when you seek help, you're told to check here then there and end up right where you started. I expect more for my hard earned money, and I doubt I'm alone. Justin

Don't be fooled by promise of unlimited data--can't hardly receive the data anyway. Reception was horrible. Sprint told us we were in the shadow, so they provided a mini transmitter that plugs into the internet. It does not work outside, and did not work well inside. Calls constantly dropped. Data reception poor. I would not NOT, use sprint. We now have AT&T and are very pleased. We can actually use our phones. Rarely do we get a dropped call or dropped data" John Watkins
