Cingular is absolutely HORRIFIC. The majority of the time I cant make a call because there ZERO coverage, if a can make a call I better hurry and talk fast cos it wont last! Im going to try Verizon

Patches of roaming, calls dropped in sections along 1900 E between Sunnyside Ave and 2100 S.

Within the last four months, reception has decreased from 5 bars to at most 1 bar with at least four dropped calls every day. While this was tested with an older phone, 1 year old, the same is seen with my wife's phone, which is only two months old. This hole in coverage spans from the Harvard / Yale area into Sugarhouse (1700S 900E). To prevent accidental roaming charges I turned off the Roaming option on my phone yet this results in the inability to make or receive calls at times. Sprints offered to sell me a new phone, claiming that it was my phone, but this is not the case as my wife's new phone has the same issues with service. Sprint PCS reception and service are awful. If you live in this area think twice about using this service.

Cingular drops calls all the time. Phone acts more like a pager than a phone. I get messages but phone does not ring. Reception is lousy. I have problems all over the Salt Lake area and the Cingular network. I travel to AZ and WY and have the same problems. I am changing wireless carriers today. Cingular has the worst wireless and customer service.

Have no trouble here. Other colleagues must go outside the building to make a call, I have 4 to 5 bars inside and seldom drop a call. Have had this phone for about 3-4 years.

I can get decent reception in most of the valley, but near where I live I'm lucky to get 2 out of four bars. usually one bar unless I'm outside then I get two.

I almost always have 4-5 bars of service.. I have enjoyed Verizon but there are those few dropped calls but can you honestly say there is a cell phone service out there that gives you FULL bars ALL THE TIME? I don't think so... .

About half of all my calls are drop within the first minute. It would be very nice to have a tower in the area.

There is a dead spot in our area. What are the chances of Cingular adding a new cell phone tower somewhere around Calif. Ave. and Redwood Road?

Nearly all service providers have poor reception in this area. Sprint has improved, but only slightly. If you are moving here, don't plan on using your mobile phone much.

Reception in my house is one bar at best. I am constantly being notified of new voice messages without the phone ever ringing. If I have an important call to make, I have to drive to a better location. I've tried different Nokia's, and originally was with AT&T. Nothing works. Friends and family with different services don't do much better.

Have 2 LG phones with Verizon (business and personal cell). Drop 3 of 4 calls on both phones.

3 out of 4 calls get dropped. Leaving Verizon as soon as contract is complete. Verizon cell tower less than 1 mile from location.

I get the best reception of any brand I have had or my co-workers or family use. Nextel is the only brand for continual good reception!
